PROS
keeps last powersetting for next power-on has a "tactical" strobe only on double-click
I built this driver into an old run-down 18650-type led-flashlight together with a Cree XP-L V5-2A. The edges of the board were a bit rough and not round, but this was easily corrected using sand-paper. When the flashlight is turned on, it is always activated with the same powersetting as it was set in before turning off. Short single clicks cycle though tree powersettings: low, mid, hi, low, mid, hi, and so on. A double click will activate a fast "tactical" strobe at full power, until another short click or power-off returns to original powersetting. Driver seems to be of constant-current type. That is, as the battery drains below a certain threshold (depening on LED), the maximum brightness will proportionally get lower, leaving the decision when to turn off the light to the user, instead of just cutting it out in the middle of action.

CONS
no usable glow looks just like textmarker green less flexible than real silicone or rubber
Built this into the flashlight head to seal the lens. The glow is almost invisible in darkness and this little lasts only for some SECONDS (!), even after being exposed by the extremely bright flashlight LED or sunshine. Impossible to find the flashlight in the dark with this. Gives just some greenish stray light while the LED is on. Flex is really not good.

PROS
thin long extension cable mounting brackets build quality
Very nice! This adapter works perfectly with my E-MU soundcards. Big advantage: They can be mounted on the other edge of the case, far away from any posibble sources of interference (although the soundcards are shielded from interference anyway).

CONS
simple glass lens color flares
The lens is a simple glass brick. If you intend to use it to form a uniform throw of light, beware of color flares, especially at the edges. 98% transmission makes no sense, if 50% have to be masked off to form a usable beam. Maybe this is an effects lens.

PROS
fits like described has a high inner nub for customizing actuation
CONS
no usable glow looks just like textmarker green
The glow is almost invisible in darkness and this little lasts only for some minutes, even after "charging" in sunlight. Impossible to find the flashlight in the dark with this. The high inner nub can be cut using a sharp blade for customizing actuation of the switch.
