PROS
Very nice threading, the seams quite nearly disappear when assembled.
CONS
Whole device is not properly sized to use a kick even though it includes a kick tube.
As promised, side by side of the Stainless and Brass. There are several major differeneces. 1 - Stainless comes in black UVO labeled box, brass comes in plain white throw away box. 2 - The bottom spring in the brass is much stronger than the stainless, it will hold the weight, but the SS collapses under an 18350+topper.Why you ask? The brass is not a spring - it's magnets. 3 - Bottom pin on brass is copper, SS has a brass bottom pin. (??)The pins are interchangeable, but the knurled retention nuts are not, they are threaded differently. 4 - The bottom cap delrin insulators are quite differnt and the brass one does not have an oring on it, which the ss one does, even though this seems rather silly - what does it need an oring for? The insulators are interchangeable. 5 - Stainless has a Vapor Wall logo and serial number, brass is just plain font. 6 - The main tube on the ss is approximately 45.5mm long, while the brass is 43.5mm, the other two tubes are the same on each at 35mm and 14mm - which is why I can't seem to use a kick in it, the tube should be at least 15mm, the nemesis clone kick tube is about 18.5mm - without the beauty ring. 7 - Both top caps have floating center pins, even though the brass has a slot it, however, the delrin insulators are threaded. Other than that, both top caps appear to be identical. A few more thoughts - -The magnets do hold the weight of an 18650 and full Kayfun, but just barely. -It seems this mech is destined for flat tops, button tops really just do not work on the brass. They work on the stainless but is also impossible to flush out the sections. -A kick is usable on stainless, but again, parts do not flush out. -It would also seem that whoever designed these clones has totally missed the idea behind adjustable pieces such as pins. Most of the parts will flush out in one configuration or another, but there is little to no adjustment left in the pins making it impossible to flush mount some devices such as my Kayfun and Fogger, while my Ithaka will flush mount, although not due to its adjustable center pin but only because the 510 threaded portion is shorter than the other two. -The top cap is not 100% sealed, but the orings on the center pins are pretty tight, and the threading on the insulators is pretty tight also. Visit the forums for this review with pictures. Please note I do not own an authentic Origin so I am not comparing to it, these are solely clone observations.

This is actually the fourth one of these I have had. My friends keep buying them from me. The other three came from another vendor, but this is the exact same one and just a little cheaper too. The tubes on this one are the correct length unlike so many of the other clones right now, Infinite for example. The switch on it is great, it's copper and the inner magnets are also surrounded by copper wich is your conductor on this one, not the magnets. The machining could be a lot better though. The threads have not been deburred very well, and they're a little rough. The brushed finish is very brushed, a bit more than some people like, and the seams between tubes don't disappear very well. However, for this price, I would say this is the best functioning 4nine clone you can buy anywhere.

Speaking strictly on the "1:1" subject, this is, by far, the best clone FastTech has in their lineup. It is afterall 99.9% identical to the authentic. As close as you can get to a perfect replica. That being said, the only flaws this mod has are the same ones the authentic has. As some have mentioned, like so many other mods, the switch can unscrew itself over time, no big deal. The switch spring is super stiff. I actually cut a bit of it off, however, it is nice to know that no matter what you put on it, weight will never collapse the spring. The threading and inside diameter are unlike anything else on the market, so pieces won't swap with anything else. The center pin in the top cap is floating and is simply press fit in, so it is extremely tight, but if you don't swap your atty around a whole lot it's not too bad. All things considered, these flaws are easily overlooked, making this one of my favorite mods of all time. Can't wait for the copper one...

By far one of the best value mechs FastTech has to offer. All copper, GP Paps clone top cap and switch, flat top cap - it's a winner. The switch is identical to the brass GP Paps Lux switch sold here. I have both of them and have disassembled them side by side and swapped all the parts around. Would not surprise me to find out it's from the same manufacturer. All of the threading is very nice and very smooth. Again, same there as the brass GP clone, M20x1 threads. My only wish is that this had come with three separate solid one piece tubes as the brass GP clone did, but other than that, this thing is a perfect ten.

But not great either. It does hold a lot of crap well, which is nice. But what they don't tell you here is how the whole thing is held together. You see the tabs sticking out from the side? Those are ears that poke out and when you assemble it you put these fat orings (provided) around them to keep it in place. This makes for a very wobbly stand, not rigid at all. I immediately took it back apart and super glued it all back together.
