Very happy with this set of calipers. Sometimes you need a plastic set when working with electronics or situations wherein stainless steel is not safe... and sometimes Mr Mitotoyo can have a day off. For plastic, they feel good, far better than those cheap plastic (non-digital) calipers.
These are excellent for everyday use, as backup or a small gift for someone interested in making things. I had low expectations going in, but was pleasantly surprised after using them for a few weeks.

A very nice power supply. Purchased to run a few larger LED strips reliaby, in a situation which could expose the power supply to moisture (i.e. Could not use a cheaper unpotted internal module).
The supply gets warm to the touch, about 30-35C driving 70W at 22C ambient. However that is to be expected. The build quality is high, and is obviously well potted, has good strain-relief.
About a third the price of similar 12V supplies locally (not cheap crap laptop bricks). A quarter or less the price of anything UL listed.
Overall: Recommended.

I was impressed with this little thing. The lighting is not amazing, but the magnification is good and for the size, is a real bargain. The pouch that comes included is better than the usual cheap ones, not amazing, but has held up well, and is well sized and made. Though not mentioned directly by FT, it does come with UV as well as the white lighting mode (switch on top side of unit).
The included batteries were old and needed replacing when it arrived. Would have preferred faster/cheaper shipping without them.

Minor build quality issues

These are great value, for the price and materials... very good! However if you're expecting perfectly made tools, please take a close look at the product photos, you will notice the edges are not clean and there are some defects. I cleaned them up with a sharp poker and now they look a bit more professional.
