CONS
- CC2541 does not have a USB interface
- CC2541 cannot be used for a PC USB dongle build and TI RF Sniffer software.
- CC2541 lesser output power when compared to CC2540 by +4dB

Ordered from FASTTECH on September 10, 2013 and received CC2540 as advertised. I liked the module and designed a USB dongle PCB around it. Reordered February 21, 2014 and received CC2541 instead. Contacted FASTTECH, after 4 days received a message that there's no difference between CC2540 and CC2541 and that I should be happy, though they will be changing the product description to reflect the fact that there could be CC2541 in the batch. I respectfully disagree, YES there's a difference between CC2540 and CC2541 and this is definitely should be noted as for instance in my case CC2541 is not very useful.
