PROS
- Cheap - Very bright - Waterproof - Flexible - Great for DIY light bars & surface mounting
CONS
- Aluminum outer housing is just garbage - Only using 250-300mA or 4-5 Watts each @12.6v - Need 16v for full brightness, 1A 16W max each - Must be mounted to metal surface to prevent overheating - Supplied wire leads could be better quality
Considering how cheap these are, I can fully excuse the fact that the flimsy little aluminum sheet cover housings these come with are complete garbage and must be immediately taken off and discarded before installing. The wire leads supplied should also be unsoldered from the PCB and replaced with a thicker gauge automotive rated wire before installation if you want them to work most efficiently and not fail prematurely. I would have given them a full rating on build quality if it were not for these minor shortcomings but it did not affect the quality of the finished installation that I had intended for them. The actual COB LED arrays and the PCB units themselves are actually much higher quality than I expected for this price! The COB array on the PCB has a slightly raised bezel (about 2mm)and is back filled with a phosphorus bearing silicone gel that helps diffuse the light sources and balance the color temperature across the whole bar, giving a bright pure ice white consistent with the stated 6-6.5k color temp. The PCB is printed on a 2mm sheet aluminum substrate for better heat dissipation than a standard fiberglass substrate can deliver, making these able to run at full power with no additional heat sinking needed if directly surface mounted to a metal body panel or other metal surface (don't bother trying to use the 2-sided foam tape included). For my application they were installed as body mounted reverse lamps in my vehicle. They ran for over 20 minutes and were barely warm to the touch but got uncomfortably hot running unmounted on my test bench after only 2 minutes. The top side of the PCBs is also paint sealed to prevent corrosion. The only thing I needed to do for waterproofing was to paint over the power terminals, leads and exposed test points with clear nail polish to seal any exposed metal once they were resoldered with better quality power wires. I used Vigor binary jewelers epoxy to surface mount them after roughing up the back of the aluminum. It sets in 5 minutes, cures in 24hrs and dries completely clear and will bond effectively to bare metal as well as painted surfaces free of water, oils and wax. The white paint on the PCB also closely matches my paint, making them blend right in with the body color and placed so the leads can tuck away between a body panel crease to avoid spoiling the clean look. All in all I am very happy with these and I have just ordered a few more sets to use in another project making a custom light bar system for offroad use and because a few of my friends are now very interested in them after seeing them running on my truck. ;-)

PROS
Nice spectrum, clean ice white glow, cheap price, needs no modification to work, brighter than stock incandescent bulb. Would buy again.
CONS
Could have wider light angle, could be soldered better for more strength/reliability.
I figured on these as good dome lamp replacements in my GM and .... yep, they are. These are brighter than my stock lamps and they cast a very bright and appealing ice/moon white glow. No more depressing orange incandescent interior lighting for me! :D As usual, anything this price is made fairly cheap though, and I immediately saw room for improvement. Simply soldering both sides of the PCB to the electrodes would have resulted in a better build quality. I don't think I will have any problems with them despite being a bit more flimsy than I expected. The light emission is a bit too directional to be ideal but once the diffuser lens is back on the dome light it doesn't seem to matter too much.

I'm pretty impressed with the build quality for the price. It feels nice and solid and tight and the glow in the dark seal was a nice touch.

PROS
Very versatile one-for-all charging system. Adequate number and type of cables included. Balance board included. AC or DC power in and DC power out when plugged in to AC. Good programmability.
CONS
Lack of software or data cable included. No user accessible calibration for unit, noisy fans. Unit does not measure mAh very accurately for charging or discharging. Some balance cable leads would have been nice.
After a couple months of research looking for a good charger that can handle multiple battery types and configurations I finally settled on this unit. I can't say I'm disappointed in it but I can't say I'm as impressed as I hoped I'd be with it either. What I was impressed with was the array of different ways you can set this charger up to properly charge multiple types of batteries with different spec's that you may otherwise be pulling your hair out or spending a lot of money for multiple different chargers for each type. If you DIY your own battery packs or work with different battery types a lot this really is a handy all-in-one unit to have. I spent literally hours messing around with all the ways you can program this thing and the range of settings should be more than adequate to handle any battery you can throw at it within reason. I like the discharge mode which gives a fairly accurate measure of available mAh capacity as long as you set it up right and don't have lossy connections but for some reason, the numbers it spits out don't agree very closely with the capacities I calculated on some of my batteries before with my own timed constant current load with voltage cut-off method using a modified BCM circuit I hacked from a dead Li-Po pack, read in to that what you will. If you are looking for a charger with deadly accuracy though, you may want to steer clear of this since my osciliscope test of this device has revealed that number 2 charger in this unit is measuring battery voltages 20mV higher than actual value so in order to properly charge a regular 18650 Lithium Ion on that side, I have to trick the charger by using Li-Po mode and overriding that 4.2v max cut-off and set it to 4.25 in order to actually get it to full charge. Not a deal breaker really but it's annoying to have to fiddle it to do what it is supposed to be designed to do, which is accurately charge batteries with a high degree of voltage and current control, especially with lithium batteries since they are so sensitive to damage from even slight overcharge. The constant current source seems to agree within 5% of what my multimeter says but even a slight error on the current sensing will throw off your mAh readings and make them unreliable. All of these minor pet peeve issues could have been simply solved with better factory calibration and/or allowing for a user calibration to be done as needed. As with many ASIC driven designs, one can not trust these devices to be accurate until the have been calibrated and curve compensated. If you just need a single device that charges a bunch of different kinds or odd ball configurations of batteries this will do it fine but if you are a more hard-core hobbyist or tech geek, this unit will probably fall short of any high expectations for accuracy. As with many lower end units, the balancing mode in this device is using a discharge based strategy so it charges the whole pack until one cell or bank in the stack reaches full and then it bleeds off just that cell bank at about 300mA until it can continue to charge the entire pack again. This is slow and inefficient compared to a trickle-up based balancing strategy which would put 300mA in to the lowest cell bank to bring it up to meet the rest of the pack. micro-cycling lithium batteries near their max voltage usually results in decreased cycle life and capacity but it beats having an unbalanced battery pack that only delivers 80% of it's potential charge before one bank goes dead and drags the rest down with it. So, is it worth the price? In my opinion, I would have expected a bit more attention to technical details like factory calibration, but I wouldn't say it's unreasonable for what you get.

950 Lumen is more like 450
I'm not going to bash on this too much since my only real gripe here is that the 650LM LED lamp I already had installed was brighter than this supposed 950LM lamp I was going to replace it with. I'm sure I will be able to find some use for it eventually but it's no good for a reverse lamp on a vehicle with a tinted rear window, that's all I can say. Other than the obviously overstated brightness rating, it's actually a pretty tight little unit. Despite drawing less than the rated 5W when running on 12.4v, it does get fairly hot to the touch if it's been running for a while though so do be careful of that. Based on the feel and quality of the build it should stand up to use in automotive applications where the bulb lives inside a relatively well isolated assembly. I'm giving an overall rating of the product for the price a 4/5. Would have been a 5/5 if they didn't lie about the brightness by a factor of almost double. :/
