PROS
When it works it works great Looks great on an ego battery RBA performance on an ego battery
CONS
Inconsistent build quality eGo cone thread adapter is not threaded costs as much as a Vivi Nova and not as consistent
I am at a loss at how to describe this product exactly. I bought 2 and one was perfect the other is terrible. I think if you purchase this item you might walk away with a winner but you may have to buy more than one to get a real good one because the build is inconsistent. Typically when using an RBA you want the air hole to be directly in front and perpendicular to the coil for best vapor and flavor. If the hole is not properly aligned you get less vapor production, stronger throat hit, but the flavor usually comes off metallic and burning. Well when they manufacture these Drippers they machine the threading willy nilly and not to a fixed reference. the end result is I have one atomizer where the hole is in almost perfect alignment with the coil and it works great. On the other one the hole is 90 degrees off and it tastes like burning metallic death on every drag. On many RBAs you can simply turn the air hole to line up properly but since these top caps are threaded, the thread pattern dictates the hole position. I can turn the top 90 degrees before using each time, but then its loosey goosey, and if I don't remember to tighten it afterwards half the atomizer can fall off and potentially get lost. To make things worse the drip tips are inconsistent as well. one is loose and crooked and the other is perfect, but since it will fit a standard 510 drip tip you can use your favorite tip and its not a big deal. Another issue I have is that the attys come with a tube that fits over the eGo cone threads, but it just fits over the threads instead of screwing on. So even with the atty tight on the battery, this tube just spins and rattles a bit. Kind of cheap and tacky which I can almost see for the price, but on the other hand I've seen Vivi Novas for sale here for a similar price and those are much better put together. Another gripe about the Cone thread tube is that on some of my batteries the tube is too long and prevents the post of the atomizer from making contact with the battery, but to be fair this can be more due to inconsistencies in different brands of batteries and not the fault of the atty. just pointing it out since at the time you order this item you wont know if your battery will experience this problem until you actually try it...so be prepared to possibly have to run the tube on a belt sander for a few seconds to shorten the tube if necessary. So even though using these have been a less than stellar experience. The one that does work well is really great and I love it. If you want to try your luck with this item I recommend buying a few. Use the one that works best and then save the others for spare parts. On the positive side If you are lucky enough to get a good one of these in your collection. they do have a sleek finished look on a stainless steel eGo battery. I have mine on a stainless steel eGo battery with a stainless steel drip tip and it looks like it was designed and sold from the factory as one uniform device instead of cobbled together. The diameter of the atomizer matches the Ego perfectly and gives it a clean looking presentation.

PROS
-All brass machined parts no issues with conductivity of materials. -sturdy feel -telescopes -the length of travel on the switch is adjustable -Lockable switch
CONS
-Tarnishes easily -Does not work with a kick -switch lock is not reverse thread
Overall this a great performer. There are several versions of the Sentinel available here on FT and range in cost from $12 to $30. I got mine in all brass for about $18 and i am very satisfied. There are plenty of great things to say, but only 3 cons I can think of. (1) It won't work with my kick is the biggest issue but for me that is not a deal breaker. (2) since it is brass it does tarnish. If I clean mine up with some "Nevr Dull" it will shine like a new penny and looks great!, but after a day of vaping the shine will get dull. It's easy to shine up on the ends but the middle tube is knurled and harder to polish. There are other versions of this mod available on FT with a smooth center tube if this is a deal breaker for you, but I think the contrast between the shiny end caps against the patina of the center tube looks pretty cool.(3) The switch lock is not reverse thread like on most other mods with a bottom switch. this means you have to be mindful not to twist the battery tube in a way that it loosens the battery when you set the lock. Operating the lock is smooth however, and all the threads in general on this unit screw on and off very smooth. But be careful since brass is a relatively soft metal. you don't want to bang up the threads in any way or it will get stripped on you. Even with a big 18650 battery, it is possible to set the mode up to work with all the threads concealed and protected. but it is also just as easy to leave threads exposed to possible damage. This might not be a concern with a stainless steel mod, but should be considered on a brass mod. Make sure when changing batteries to use an equal number of twists on the top and bottom cap when telescoping so that the threads stay out of sight and protected.
