PROS
Clean
Tightly and smoothly wrapped
Accurate resistance
|
CONS
more than 3.0mm ID but not quite 3.5mm, if that matters to anyone.
|
Seem to be clean and on the first pair, excellent flavour.
I got 0.244Ω cold resistance from a pair on a DNA, which is pretty accurate once bedded in with the legs clipped.
They seem to be between 3 & 3.5mm internal diameter though, which is slightly odd. Wen I ran the numbers on Steam Engine's wire wizard it reckoned they are metric sized (2*0.3mm with 0.1mm wrap with 3.25mm ID) not AWG sized, which is fine by me, but worth knowing before you buy.
Exact dimensions may matter, particularly in a tight RTA chamber, and OUTSIDE diameter is 4.25mm and coil length 6.25mm, as close as I can measure.
I hope this is useful to somebody, but it bears repeating that my experiance with them so far has been excellent.

PROS
Just very nice to have the choice.
|
CONS
None
|
It's great to be able to swap panels around to match up a mod/tank pairing.
You could even use them as a replacemet in the unlikely event that you manage to damage the original ones.

PROS
Leak proof, as long as you build it right.
Gives choice of pre-build or RBA.
Takes all the sub and toptank coils.
Excellent way to progress to rebuildables.
|
CONS
Top airflow in driptip
Unavailability of spare RBAs - but at least the single coil sub and toptank ones fit.
|
I was bought one of these as a birthday present when I first started vaping, before I even had a mod to put it on.
It's still in daily use, 8 months, countless builds, and goodness only knows how much juice later, and never a problem that wasn't my own fault when learning to wick it, so I decided to get another to share the burden.
A perfect restricted direct to lung vape, with a fallback to cartridge coils if I should be unable to rebuild it for any reason.
I haven't had to use a single spare part from the original set either.

PROS
Authentic product
Easier to operate than older style AFC base.
|
CONS
Only available in bare stainless steel, not in the black, red or white that genuine toptanks were also produced in. I was lucky that my old-style one was stainless steel.
|
Now all my toptank minis have the later (and much better) afc base :D
The old style one is very stiff and difficult to operate with arthritis - I had to use one of those atomiser grippers built into the handle of some ceramic tweezers. This is completely smooth.
A very worthwhile upgrade.
If the lack of availability in the other original colours is a real problem for you, I guess you could paint it, although getting a match might be difficult. Luckily, the tank I wanted to upgrade was already stainless steel.
The old style one will get a graceful retirement as a base for coiling and wicking RBAs for both the toptank mini and protank 4 - I know the RBA will fit straight onto a build deck, but this way I will avoid getting juice where juice should not be when priming the wick! And I'll never have to move that $%^&* AFC ring again!
