PROS
Well machined Great flavour Easy to coil Easy to wick Wicks extremely well Very flexible in use Airflow adaptor No leaks Very slightly restricted airflow (I like) Quiet - doesn't whistle or roar
CONS
510 pin too long for some mods Post holes a bit too small for real monster wires Slightly shallow 510 drip tip hole very slightly restricted airflow (you may not like)
Excellent tank and very good value for money. Beautifully made, easy to use and with the inclusion of the optional airflow adaptor, covers a range of vaping styles. Good looking too. I've used it with the adaptor with a 1.1ohm coil and closed down for MTL and with it removed, wide open with a 3.5mm ID, 6 wrap, 24/32 Clapton for lung inhales. In both cases the flavour was exceptional and a very smooth vape. Not sure why some have had leaking. It can only be down to incorrect wicking or an iffy o ring somewhere. Personally can't report a single leak or gurgle in a week of use, the only thing I've noticed is occasionally you get a smear of juice coming from the air holes due to vapour condensation. Wicking and coiling is a doddle and it keeps up.

The airflow runs from Kayfun tight closed down with the adaptor slightly restricted fully open (think Subtank mini, but a whole lot smoother). This is exactly how I like it. If you like that wide open, breathing through it type of airflow, it may not be for you.

Nothing is perfect and like everything it has couple of minor flaws. The 510 is longer than most and if your mod has a shallow 510 connector (RX200 and Evic VT are two examples), then I'd consider using a spacer or a heat sink with adjustable pins. To protect your mod. Also the post holes are a little too small for really funky big wires. A 24/32 Clapton fits with lots of room to spare, but if you wanted to use something really fat you may struggle. I'm not convinced it'll work so well with dual stacked coils, they'd need to be that small, I'm not sure there would be a point. Technically you could, but honestly the deck cries out for big 3.5mm or 4mm ID single coils. FInally drip tips with particularly long connectors may bottom out in the slightly shallow drip tip hole. Mostof mine have been fine though.

The flaws really are minor and so long as you are aware of them can be lived with. This really is a great flavoursome and smooth vape. None of the flaws are deal breakers and the pros far outweigh any cons.

Ps. I really don't understand why they included the notch coil though, it's not really appropriate for the tank.

PROS
very nice design good machining good 4ml capacity
CONS
loose afc on one of my two tanks notch coil is too big
Bought two of these as the design looked like a winner when I saw it online and seems that it was a good purchase. Having tried the serpent which I really disliked this looked like my next shot at finding a good single coil atty apart from KF's

Packaging is good and comes with the usual spares. The atty came clean with no oil and is built really well with no sharp edges. I have two atties and on one the afc is very loose but on the other it is perfect. That is the only machining fault I could find. Its no biggie and still works as expected.

The supplied notch coil is pretty useless imo as it is too big for the tank and I broke it trying to fit in properly.

As for the vape it took me quite a while to find something that I was happy with. I tried claptons, regular kanthal and ss. What I found is that I really don't like too beefy a coil in this as I find the vape was far too hot for me, I think this is best for mellow retricted MTL and for the people who like great rich flavour.

I ended up with one tank using the reducer and with a fused clapton 2 times 28 gauge NI80 with 36 outer/ 6 wraps around a 3mm rod. Really a beautiful vape when I put this build in and can see me keeping this build for the foreseeable future. It really produces thick tasty vapour, fully saturated.

I really like the wicking on this tank as all you do is snip and tuck so even if you just had a crap cutter you could even set it up with a key if you were out and about.

Overall its a great tank and if you are still looking for a single coil tank is well worth consideration.

Easy to build velocity deck Comes with adapter for mtl Very good flavor in either modes
This is one of the best option for a single coil tank. The deck is easy to build. You can get crazy with a Clapton and go for high watts or screw in the mtl adapter and put a smaller coil in it and flavor chase. Billow 3 glass also fits it.

Maybe a metal sleeve over the glass would improve it. No negatives!
Very impressive. Stable resistance in TC,decent build quality. Very easy to coil & wick- perfect for beginners & old hands alike. Great flavour, great clouds & smooth airflow: A wise purchase, highly recommended 😃

I have always clearly preferred a single coil atty, and have proven to myself many times over that flavor and volume can be just as good, if not better, than the dual coils. This Merlin is a solid well built single coil RTA that produces good flavor and volume. With 3.5mm and 2.4mm air flow holes, this RTA should meet anyone's air flow requirement. The velocity deck is easy to coil and wick and, so far, I've experienced no ohm fluctuations. This atty can and will leak over time, but seems to be better about it than most. The Ubertoot is the best RTA I've ever used with regard to leaking, but this Merlin isn't too bad. If you like single coils, definitely give this one a shot.

Flavour Sealing MTL
CONS
Liquid control too soft, easy to close it accidentally Tip oversized (however can be changed, is a std 510)
After a week of use I can say that this atom is really great. No leaks at all, terrific flavour, good for MTL thank to reduction screw supplied. Very easy to build. Just pay attention to liquid control bell, it turn very easily.

PROS
easy build easy to wick replacement glass available
CONS
NONE
I discovered this past week while rebuilding three of the five of these that I own, that you can get a full tank by filling it through the wicking ports while it's upside down. By filling it through the wicking port, i didn't get a single drop of fluid leak, like I usually get when filling through the top.
I used a Empty Needle Refiller Bottle for E-Liquid (50-Pack) 10ml, Translucent, 50-Pack / SKU: 7980700, to fill it, because it has the really narrow tip. Once I'd filled it to the wicking port, I simply reinserted the base and screwed it together (while upside-down). NOT A SINGLE DROP LOST.
When I turned it right-side-up, the tank was completely filled with no bubble at the top of the glass. This is by fare, my favorite tank to-date.
It's gives me a great flavor on all of the e-juice's I use and has fabulous air-flow control. You can set it to give you really nice MTL hits or Lung-hits without the restriction screw. It's the best single-coil RTA you'll find at an affordable price that is equal to the really expensive RTA's.
