PROS
- Cheap
- all have a 1.48 to 1.5 ohm resistance
- Dual coils with these will be so easy
|
CONS
- Thin wire snaps very easily
- Weld spot snaps easily
- I received 96 of these instead of 100
|
It is very good price for a pack. I only use drippers, and these can be used with them. Just ignore the posts if they say NR-R-NR wires are bad/useless/no-good/not for dripping atomizers. The only down side is that this thing way too thin. If you over tighten the screws, these things will snap. I'm used to the 28 and 30 ga kanthal wires, and those do not have this problem. The weld spot on some of them look very weak. Oh, count them twice since you might have gotten short handed instead of getting 100 of these; the wire used to wrap the bundle together is also a NR-R-NR wire.

PROS
Welds look clean
Wire performs
Resistance checks out at ~1.5ohm per wire
Easy to work with
|
CONS
|
I purchased these several months prior to the writing of this review. My order was delayed and my chosen shipping method meant it ended up taking a little over three months for the order to arrive. In that time, I fully moved on from the old "Protank" style coilheads and into more of a subohm tank and rebuildable area of the vaping hobby. So now I'm stuck with a bag of 100 NR-R-NR wires with too high of a resistance to be used in any of my current kit. I decided to tear down a worn out Kangertech Subtank 0.5ohm head. I ended up taking two of these 1.5ohm NR-R-NR wires, wrapping them in parallel around a 2.5mm rod. Slightly spaced for the coils and none of them overlapping. I carefully fed the wire, leads first, through the top opening of the coilhead. I put a 2.5mm rod through the juice flow holes on the side of the head to hold the coil in place and secured the leads at the bottom the same as you would a Protank head. Make sure your two leads on either side are kept together and secure them with the silicone (plastic, rubber - whatever it is...) gasket and then the metal pin in the bottom of the coilhead. This two-strand parallel coil reads 0.77ohms and fires comfortably at 18 watts in the Subtank. Is it perfect? No. But it works. 5 cents of wire and organic cotton plus about 5 minutes to tear out the old coil, wrap and install and wick the new coil. I think it's worth it.

PROS
Fairly strong soldered legs
Quality wire
Amazing results
|
CONS
Never get 1.5 ohm on a build once in device
Some break about 1 in 10 ratio
|
I have to say I ordered these as a shot in the dark to test various types of NR-R-NR wire for the purpose of rebuilding STOCK atty's and these fit the bill - I was looking to rebuild the Nautilus AIO Nic Salt coils and man these are spot on albeit never 1.5 ohms but I was aiming for 1.6-1.8 ohms the closest I got has been 1.7 ohms but there are so many factors that can effect the final outcome the max I get is 2.1 ohms but they still work well and as they are Nichrome they are the same wire as the in packet stock coils. Amazing results and high quality - RECOMMEND DEFO

Una magnífica solución para no complicarse la vida. Poder acercar o alejar la resitencia del poste sin aumentar la logitud de la parte resisitiva es fantástico.

PROS
makes rebuilding ithaka, oddy, protank style easy
|
CONS
little short for ithaka but works; pull a little too hard and make break the join
|
good quality and low cost. the only thing that beats these are the pre-made mirco coil versions SKU: 1591703 the premade coils are twice the cost but worth the $2.40 (extra).
