PROS
Nice aluminium case with laser prints.
Well made pcb inside.
It looks brilliant while not connected to computer :)
Отличный корпус с лазерной гравировкой.
Выглядит круто и дорого , пока не подключен к компьютеру :)

CONS
It's not the standard USBasp programmer.
Не получилось заставить его работать ни с одной из программ.Опознаваться в системе - опознаётся, но спец проги (казарма, экстрем бёрнер и т.д.) его не видят.

It's not the standard USBasp programmer. You'll need to rebuild and(or) reprogram for work properly.

PROS
In the pictures you can't see it but actually has the pinout laser printed on the case - a nice touch.
Best ratio quality/price

CONS
I can't get it to work with any known software
When i try to power the target from the power port the status led turns off / programmer wont work
|
I have this programmer for a few days now and i did not manage to get it to work properly with the progisp 1.72 software - this is the only one that recognize it. I can only read the microcontroller - no write capabilities. Also when i try to power the target from the programmer it fails miserably. At this point i declare this programmer useless. List of software that i tried : progisp v 1.72 & v 2.01, WinAVR, Atmel Studio, eXtreme Burner - AVR, Khazama AVR Programmer v1.7

PROS
Well built, nice long ribbon cable.
|
CONS
This is NOT a standard USBasp, and it is NOT compatible with avrdude, Arduino, and most other standard programmers.
|
Cannot be used with the vast majority of software usually employed for AVR programming. There's obscure Chinese programming software for Windows for it (http://www.zhifengsoft.com/ -- follow the links to one of the related store pages to find a mirror of it, but I wouldn't bother with it).
Taking it apart, it does use the USBasp's ATmega8 controller, but it is wired differently, so even attempting to reflash it with the USBasp standard firmware (http://www.fischl.de/usbasp/) would be a challenge. You're better off with FastTech SKU 1002900 -- it shows up as a plain USBasp and works out-of-box. Just wrap it electrical tape if you want it sealed :-)
