If you want it to be 3.3V serial interface, be very, very, very careful.
If this has a down side, it's that cutting the teeny-weenie trace so it will have 3.3V serial lines is a gigantic pain. My fingers are very fat and I made a mess of it but was able to solder some 30G... (read full review)

Its a great FTDI if you want to program on 5v
CONS
It dosen't output 3.3v even if you bridge the switch for 3.3v.
Here is why: There is a small trace connecting GND to 5v on the board at the voltage selector switch (pads). I soldered the 3.3v to GND to presumably put it into 3.3v mode. Proceeded to connect my ESP... (read full review)
