Fidget spinner is now the most
popular toy around the world.
No matter you are a grown-up or children, it is spinning its way to
everyone¡¯s
hearts and hands. It is affordable (As
cheap as $3.40)
yet is claimed to relieve stress and anxiety.
What is the fidget
spinner?
The
fidget spinner is a small gadget that is tailored for
your hand. It is usually composed of two parts which are a central
bearing that
you hold tightly with your index finger and thumb and a three
rotational edges
that twirl around it once you flip it. There are some unique designs
such as Naruto
Styled, Panda
Styled and Batman
Styled, but they are sticking to the same the same idea of
spinning.
How to spin a fidget
spinner?
There
aren¡¯t any wrong ways of spinning a fidget
spinner. It is
completely up to you to
determine the best way as long as it makes you feel comfortable and
natural. There
are some specific approaches for different spinners. Some spinners are
more
suitable for twirling back and forth while others are handy for
two-hand spins.
There
are 2 major ways of spinning a fidget. You can either
grip the button using your index finger and thumb or using you middle
finger
and thumb.
A)
The Flick/ Reverse Flick Method

Both
The Flick and Reverse Flick methods are gripping the
button using thumb and index finger. The
Flick method is the most common and easiest way to spin a fidget
spinner. It works
with almost all fidget spinners
whereas the Reverse Flick method is pulling back instead of spinning
forward
which is most appropriate for bar spinners. The Flick method requires
you to flick
forward with your middle finger or ring finger by touching the spinner
with the
top of your spin finger around the base. With regard of the Reverse
Flick
method, you should push against the body of the spinner by using your
ring
finger and use your ring finger to have a snapping motion to spin the
fidget
spinner.
B)
The Index Finger Flick/ The Index Finger Reverse Flick Method
The Index Finger Flick method works perfectly well for
smaller spinners whereas the Index Finger Reverse Flick is suitable for
most spinners.
Both methods grip the spinner¡¯s buttons with your thumb and middle
finger
instead of index finger. The
Index
Finger Flick requires you to place the back of your index finger just
below the
ends of one of the spinner's bars holding the spinner and flick forward
using
your index finger. On the other hand, the Index Finger Reverse Flick
method
needs to press your index finger into your spin point on the side of
the
spinner where your middle finger is holding the button. Then, you
should pull
your index finger (instead of flick) toward your hand, be careful not
to press
down your finger by getting in the way of the spin.
Spinners¡¯ stunts? The
real fun comes from attempting to accomplish various
tricks with a spinner. As it spins it can be balanced on top of
fingers, toes,
and if you¡¯re really bold, your nose or forehead. If you have more than
one spinner,
you can pile them up on one another, thus creating a whirling tower.
Perhaps
the biggest challenge is to throw a spinner to your friend and try to
catch it,
again if you are daring enough.
