Battery re-wrapping
Hello,
So I'd like to rewrap my 18650s and 21700s

SKU 9633939 20700 insulators, is that good for 21700, I haven't found any for 21700.
SKU 2157501 insulators, Or should i get the wider SKU 9633940 ?
SKU 2155601 18650 wrap
SKU 9653943 21700 wrap

Are these all I'll need? Anything I should know before re-wrapping my batteries?

Use those myself. I understand if looking at the comments, that the wider ones are for flat top batteries, not the type we use as vapers.

Those black 21700 wraps, am waiting for some to arrive myself. They are apparently the ones to own.

I don’t bother changing the insulators because they are still fine…for now. Have yours worn out somehow ?
As for rewrapping some rétractable wraps are really poor quality and don’t last long compared to the initial factory wrap, I would advise to not go cheap…

I don't wanna go cheap... I listed by popularity, I am willing to buy more expensive ones, but these are the most popular. If anyone can recommend black 21700 wraps and translucent 18650 wraps go on, I am open for everything.
As for the insulators, well... idk. They not as worn out, I just tough it easier to do the job wit sticky ones.

I think they are just cheap because of what they are, a little sleeve of shrink wrap plastic.

I have gotten three different kinds sent to me with order of batteries or products, none of them seemed better or worse.

I ordered some from here forever ago, and they worked great. You won't find many people with tons and tons of experience with re-wrapping batteries I don't think. It is rare that you need to do the job more then once in a batteries life span, but it all depends on the gear you use. Some gear now even has plastic coatings or tubes inside it so if there is a nick in your wrap it wont harm the mod, or you.

Order ones you like the look of because you probably wont need to order them again, 100 is a ton of wraps. If you do need or want to order more later they are cheap. If you feel like the wrap isn't good enough, some times you can do two wraps and they still fit in the mod perfectly. All batteries have some differences, all mods have some differences, so this may or may not hold true in every situation.

As far as the insulators, I have never needed them but way back when I bought them too just in case I did need them. I never did, but it has been nice to have them. When it comes to things this cheap sent from so far away, my theory has been just grab them and see if you do need them.

I think the only time I have seen them expensive is when they have a picture printed with them, like the ODB wraps.

I generally use the originals but if you don't keep your finger down on it when using the blow dryer to heat the wrap, know that it will blow away.

Having lost a couple that way, I always have back ups but yes, generally just use the originals.

Vape batteries are flat top. As opposed to button top which tend to be protected and have a different chemistry.

Batteries not as worn, only it's triggering my non existent OCD



This one I only use in the Pulse V2 since my underground squonk mech mod broke down again... or... I break it... literally. It won't short in the Pulse V2.
I wanna re-wrap them to mach colour, translucent in the SS coloured squonk mod, black in the black squonk mod just because you can see them in there. Tho I won't re-wrap my newer batteries, that would be stupid imo.

I love that you said, my non existent OCD, that's great. OK get the wraps for them it should be all good. Use your other batteries until you get the wraps in. It's not horrible, but why risk anything if you don't need to.

I was quite happy with this translucent 18650, it’s 50 pack nd that’s too much but hey : SKU 6532209 and it’s available for 20700 as well I believe.
