Yes, I only use unregulated tube mods.
But sometimes it is a Alu, Copper, Brass, SS mix.
Difficult to remove the oxidation.
Even copper SMPL with brass switch is inside green.
What to do?

Lokks good cilika.

@Troepfler - To clean copper or brass soak in cleaning vinegar, rinse with water afterwards.

Nothing wrong with a bit of "Old School" vaping. :D

Well...

It's actually all I do. I"ve got a pod system (VooPoo Argus) that I didn't buy myself and I did give it a try. Didn't like it and now it's sitting in it's box.

Nothing wrong with it, why would be, Alien? =D Glad to see mech vapers around every time, especially old school mech vapers!
I notoriously return to them all the time, though regulated has a certain roll in my "vaping life".

Years ago, I had a second, dirt cheap Emma mod from al ix, that came with a useless top cap (pos. pin is far too short) And happy to give a new life for it. (...but actually, this one is my first, from here!)

@Troepfler: vinegar is good for cleaning as Cmj mentioned, I find the most efficient (and faster, though maybe less environmental friendly? but you don't need to do it every second day) ;) the Brasso (called "Miror" in this country), just give a good rub to your copper/brass mods / their parts with a piece of cloth, then wash it with warm water and soap. (or anything that you use for washing up)

poison or reason?
Reason: it is just simple with best results.
The tubes run without a problem, I dont need spare parts.
And a lot of tubes look much nicer than the plastic mods,
collectors items.
I used regulated mods, but I do not see a big advantage to tube mods.
But for the people who do not know a lot about Ohms, Watts and Voltage,
a regulated mod is the better choice,
you coil it to 0.2 Ohms and vape it with 8 Watts, thats electronics.

Sorry. "poison" is an English slang term, basically I was asking: "what are your favorite day to day mods that you enjoy?"

I totally think every vaper needs a few simple mechs and a large stash of batteries, because well - you never know!

I still prefer the copper SMPL because of the hard hit with 0.33 Ohms.
And the mod is short with 79mm, with atty and DT 103mm.
But the hard hit is gone over the years, oxidation?
Btw.: who still sells good SMPLs?

Batteries: because of the heavy use in tube mods I replace them yearly,
it is just too dangerous to use them in hybrid mods with damages.

And again: hybrid tube mods are dangerous.

I've found performance suffers dramatically with the SMPL mod if you don't strip and clean the inside of the switch frequently (I keep a pair of external circlip pliers on my vape shelf which makes separating the switch a 2 second job).

I don't use my SMPL mods very often these days but I've found that cleaning the 510, switch threads and battery contacts isn't enough as the inside of the switch is prone to tarnishing and needs cleaning just as frequently as the threads
