It's finally happened :(
Well it's been a long, sometimes turbulent, but always entertaining ride. I started using Fasttech in the days when 15 watts was considered to be the pinnacle of vaping technology...
Back in the day when the forum was filled with wit and wisdom, advice was plentiful and the vape gear was less than half the price of domestically available products.
FT was the best site for vaping products; sometimes a bit slow but always arrived, the best customer service of any Chinese site and a forum that supplied useful information and banter.
I carried on using this site to keep up to date with products and to purchase the odd bargain long after i needed to.
The gradual erosion of FTs price supremacy, the increasingly slow shipments and constant restocking problems were a pain but, hey, you sort of get used to that. You even except the shit posters et al and convince yourself it's all in fun.
The final nail in the coffin though ? I can no longer pay for goods. Being forced to purchase gift certificates is just a step too far for me.
I really am torn as to whether Paypal/ Credit Card companies have done me a massive disservice or a huge favour. Time will tell.
Bye.
More sense than money.....

Yup.

Ordered a few small bits 'n' pieces yesterday, only to find PayPal has finally caught up with my account - ironic given the latest PHE update on vaping here in the UK.

So a simple message to FastTech... you REALLY need to update your methods of payment, and sooner rather than later, or otherwise I too will be off elsewhere.

What did PayPal do? Send message, or just not allow a Fasttech purchase? I wonder if there is not a class action suit here somewhere. What if PayPal did not approve of birth control, and refused to process payment?

Or decided that Viagra was immoral, or alcohol? Anybody who returns to smoking, because PayPal terminated their access to Ecigs, a legal product, proven to be beneficial in reducing harm a benefit that was hindered, impinged, infringed or otherwise impeded, without any bonafide or lawful reason, and suffers harm as a result, should be able to seek damages because PayPal knows, or should reasonably know that their policies will likely have a negative impact on the health of their customers. More so if the reason given is arrived at without any supporting data,

I'm fairly sure that PayPal allows people to purchase ski tickets, climbing equipment and other materials that relate to inherently dangerous activities, so the arbitrary decision to place obstacles in the way of people fighting an addiction, and seeking harm reduction, appears, unless they can justify their position somehow, to be malicious, and which in no legitimate way furthers the interest of the public good.

Malicious acts, in civil law, irregardless of whether the act was lawful or not, are usually viewed in a very negative light by jurys, and the courts.

If PayPal allowed a person access to purchase insulin, but not Methadone it would appear to the average person, that PayPal is behaving in a biased manner, and as such, should be held accountable for the harm, loss, pain and suffering of those affected by their at best ignorant and irresponsible, and at worse, malicious and cruel actions.

What if PayPal decided not to process purchases of either the koran, or bible, but allowed Mein Kampf? Would they be accountable if the Brown-shirts became a problem?

Vaping may not be totally safe, but compared to smoking, it is much less unhealthy. All the science so far, is able to say, is that the long term effects of ecigs are unknown. The effects of cigarettes are known. Considering their minimal liability in processing payment for ecigs, a legal product, I'd be surprised if they felt strongly enough to risk a trial.

The latter, stating they no longer support the purchase of vaping products (as indeed many others have experienced here since last year). A PayPal purchase of Gift Certificates is still allowed though.

Same here. Today I was ordering a couple of atomizers but Paypal denied the transaction. I will not buy gift certificates, sorry Fasttech.

Buy non related vape items and pay with PayPal. Then cancel your order and select gc as the refund option.

Add your vape items back in your cart, checkout and pay using the gc.

I tried to order another Cabeo last night, no go.
Bye bye PayPal, your loss.

Some retailers already know how I am, you get one and you're done.

Nearing a few decades with PP, they'll never see a penny from me again.

Yeah, that will work, but is essentially jumping through hoops (what some may describe as a 'work-around').

At the end of the day, FT have known about this creeping issue since last year, and it's not unfair to say they've appeared to look the other way.

While I'm aware vaping is only one small part of their overall business, FT's payment structure desperately needs an overhaul.

Strange, just done an e liquid order and no PayPal option, so just used GC. One minute after that order I placed another and PayPal option was there.

Contact support. Tell them the SKU #s you want, what shipping option you want and the cost of that shipping option for those items.

They will create an order in your account and send you a link to pay via paypal.

As for your other complaints, most are valid, however FT is still the vape accessories king, at least they are for me for the stuff I buy.

To contact support means waiting a couple of days and the "in stock" items you want to buy, may no longer be "in stock".

I've placed an order elsewhere in China, five minutes ago. I paid with Paypal (they solved the issue in an ingenious way), 24HRS shipping.

I love Fasttech, but not being able to pay efficiently is beyond any loyalty I may have.
