Any Canadians had packages shipped successfully from here lately and if so, which route did you use?

I havent ordered since January but I usually go for epacket.

Usually takes 3 weeks to get to me.

Same but I just had the first one fail a security check on its way out and was returned to FT.
I have heard of it happening to others but that was a first for me and I hope not a sign of things to come.

Except they are not actually returned, At least I haven't seen one yet that has been. They say returned, but 1 or 2 days later, its in a different bin at the same facility. Same day sometimes.

And as far as failing a security check, that's pure BS. A flashlight and couple of nylon straps can't possibly cause a security problem. A parcel I received after it did the rounds, was unopened. I compared it to the shipping pic, and it was intact.

Whatever the reason for it happening, it has nothing to do with security.

Not following what you mean by that.

You are suggesting that they are just moving within the postal stations in China from bin to bin, rather than being returned to FT?

My failed package only held a package of 5 replacement bubble glass, a few packages of SS coils and a few different fancy coil spools. Cant imagine why that failed a security check either.

**That being said, I went to place an order yesterday and noticed that e-packet is free but at another competitors site, its $10 for Canadian e-packet***

Back in November 2020 I ordered a LV Grus, it was shipped out E-Packet & returned to FT about a week later :( They claimed Customs in China had rejected it for what ever reason! They contacted Me & gave Me the option to reship with Post nl. Having no other choice I agreed & it took all most 8 weeks to finally get here in Canada :(

I have made 5 orders since then all E-Packet, with no issues in China! All thou the 6 to 15 days delivery times I used to enjoy are gone! :( Now 4 to 5 weeks is Normal :(

I did NLPost once, maybe a year ago that was relatively quick but I think I got it just before everyone else caught on and swamped it. Who knows.

Recent e-packets to Toronto are about 3 weeks. I can live with that but would like to understand what is going on. Why so many are being returned.

I had an order from a well known/used competitor about 3 months ago that did something I had not seen done before using, Wanexpress I think it was called.
They sent it to a company here outside of Toronto, who then seemed to send it to me. It all came very quickly.

In any event, I question why e-packets here now don't cost any money but competitors cost $10. The age old question, is FT just not paying enough $$ and are favoured packages to return. Again, who knows.

Frustrating as one item in 5 needed to restock 7 days and now seems to need that again so its going to be close to 3 weeks from the date of ordering until it finally gets out again, if indeed it passes the security check.

Wont order again until I see how this works out.

This is a direct quote from FT, when My item was returned. You can see it's pretty vague at best :)
So who really knows whats going on :(

"Sorry to inform that your package failed to pass security checking in our local, and will returned to us. The package was returned because the customs became very strict recently, so some packages did not pass checking."

If it was returned why must I wait another 7 days to have an item restocked that was in that shipment.
Unless of course it is not returned to FT itself.

That is exactly what's happening. From bin to bin, and postal station to postal station. The "returned" does not appear on all trackers.

Aha, ok I see what you mean although my experience has been different.

From March 5th along all I have seen is this:

This number can't be found at this moment. It's not available in the carrier's system yet. Please check back later.

It was resent again via E-packet and has very quickly made it through and on its way to Canada so perhaps, at least this week they are moving quickly again
