If it was face masks it may be due to improper paperwork, needed to confirm items to be real.

I am in the same boat with my face mask being sent back to FT after a security check.

Not sure about any other items, China is not to happy with us and Trump ATM.

The recent export controls on 'medical equipment' is apparently due to the increasing number of complaints from EU countries various about serious quality issues with product(s) received. Unreliable tests, masks that don't fit properly and filters that don't actually filter as specified etc. with entire batches being rejected. Can't find it just now but I posted some links to SCMP reports a few weeks ago when it was announced. I think the bottom line was that only companies/products that are fully licensed for medical use in China can now be exported and only then if full compliance with all required contractual specifications can be demonstrated. I would guess this is only likely to apply to bulk orders for genuine/frontline medical use though.

There clearly is/was no shortage of dubious quality and unapproved medical product being exported, hopefully most of which are now likely to get stopped. However, I would suggest that there are no prizes for guessing where any products which can't be officially exported as genuine medical supplies are likely to end up being disposed of though ;) Caveat Emptor and all that.

China bans export of test kits and medical supplies by firms not licensed to sell them at home after European buyers complain of being sold substandard products. Beijing says only companies approved by the National Medical Products Administration can ship their goods overseas

Same situation with orders placed mid March and they are not health related items.
Things are pretty F’ed up everywhere.

I don't feel there's a point in ordering anything from Fasttech at this point. My parcel hasn't been scanned since mid March and apparently it's been accepted by airline and enroute to Australia. I opened a ticket 20 days ago and all I get is a generic response, saying they will talk to their post office. I know I don't stand alone and I am wondering about the ethics of fasttech ATM. Should they be making sales if the can't if items aren't making it to their destination?
