Original announcement
Dear valued customers,
As stated in FastTech's
rebate points FAQ posted 2 years ago, active rebate points will expire on
10/10/2014 November 10, 2014. If you have reached 10 active points in your account, please consider
making a request to convert them into gift certificates before
10/10/2014 11/10/2014. Pending rebate points will not expire.
FastTech is making a special one-time offer to all customers, including those with less than 10 active points, an automatic conversion that will convert all your expired active points into a gift card. The gift card will appear in your account shortly after 11/10/2014 and will be valid within 1 month after the conversion. As this is offered far outside of FastTech's policy, we will be unable to further extend the expiry dates.
The reason we're doing this one time offer is because the points system did not implement rolling expiration. In the next month or so, all FastTech rebate points will be upgraded to allow for rolling expiration. All active points, collected and unused for more than 1 year will expire automatically. When older unused points expire, more recent points stay intact (the definition of rolling expiration).
In addition to the one-time offer, with our current points system when an order is refunded while points are still pending, refunded points are taken out of active points instead of pending points. With the roll out of the rolling expiry points system, refunds of pending points will only reduce pending points. Your active points will no longer be affected.

Thank you.
