Then is better for me to keep my nose clean.

Thank you.

Hi yoshy! You've done so much for Flo already mate. I'm sure he appreciates everything that you have done but maybe this is one thing that (maybe even because of distance) that you can't really help with.
I applaud you for all your work so far. 👍

It's nothing to feel bad about. You genuinely tried to help someone. That's gotta go down as an "attaboy" in the "Universal bookkeeper's book of good deeds" ledger. :)

I just need one more flashlight. Just one. Honestly. :D

There is no way you could conclude this with any certainty.

You are upset because your help did not end up in what you expected for Flo.

But your expectations were set too high so that caused a perception of failure (in your mind) when your expectations were not met.

However, it could be that Flo is actually in a better state today because you & others tried to help him, even if his current state is not what you expected or ideal.

You can only do so much to help others, especially in a remote situation.

How true.

Yesterday my wife and daughter went to a local pharmacy to pick up a prescription and a few other things. My daughter noticed two 12 packs of toilet paper sitting on the shelf. There was a limit of 2 so she grabbed both. Just as she started walking away, an older man asked her if there was anymore on the shelf. When she said no, the man looked so sad that she gave him a pack. She said his eyes started tearing up and he thanked her profusely and even offered her $5.00. Her eyes started tearing up too so she smiled and said he was welcome, then walked away before they both started crying in the store.

I'm sure that will also go in the "Good deeds" ledger too.

I just need one more flashlight. Just one. Honestly. :D

I, for the life of me, could not find which thread this was posted in so I am reposting it here even though it is now old news. It is just a good example of how the numbers can escalate and I wanted to post it somewhere as an example. I finally found it at one of a couple places where I thought I'd shared it.

Courtesy of yoshy. If only Mario and Luigi could see this they'd freak.
