You will unlikely get anywhere asking the lawyer to step in if their services have been cut, as they have here.

He may have no option as horrid as that might be, but to check in to a shelter.
I don't know how it is where he is but I have heard here that the homeless in shelters will gain a home much quicker if they are actually in the shelter system, rather than applying for it from outside of it.

Sorry, not sure what a halfway centre might be..but a homeless shelter wont kick people to the street, I believe, unless violent, using drugs, etc.

Sounds a bit odd to me but I am hardly an expert on the system, even here but know that there are shelters not far from me where people stay as long as necessary.


You might be better off putting your own energy into finding out what the real scoop might be, then wasting precious time on the lawyer.

Presumably he is collecting welfare or some disability pay.

If it were me, I would be temped to find a group on Facebook, should you have an account for such groups.
So I am looking right now at a group on FB for what they call here, ODSP.
Its a private group so I cant read anything but no doubt there would be an equivalent group where he is located.

I would quickly join such a group and ask the members what might be available to him.
They will know how to work the system. Any help you glean from such info can help you, help him.

If you know "Flo" personally that's great, but otherwise be very careful about getting involved with someone you only know from a forum. Things about his story just struck me as a little "off". Than again, my age might be making me cynical.
