Not one fukin person in this thread, other than myself. is a farmer. Correct? Buncha armchair cowboys debating polling figures and not a one with dirt under your nails.....My apologies if any of you are but this is bullshit. BigAg/Corp Government is running us all to the cities so you can have GMO foods to bring your children up on. You're all welcome for the thanks you show to your local farms by buying direct.
I'm out.....have some fun. Eh?

Yeah, from your local food chain market, right? Whole Foods, right? Don't go to the farmer for your food, just support the profiteers.

See, you want to crow about the "quality" of your food. Not the source.

During the spring, summer and early fall months, I have an organic market 5 minutes from my home on Sat/Sundays where I pick up most.
If I need 1-2 during the week, my local whole foods type store.

This past winter I unfortunately was relegated to that same store.

I would suggest that most shoud use a weekly delivery service from the local markets but my health needs are such that i cannot use root vegetables for the most part, so much I would have to waste that way.

** should clarify that the organic market on the weekend are only local farmers from Ontario.

Chick peas are too high in carbs for me to eat on a regular basis but damn are they good when I give in.

Again though, I buy only organicaly grown chick peas and soak/cook them myself.

I sometimes like to use the Aquafaba from the chick pea cooking water for Hummus....but studies tend to favour it not being the healthiest product so I use very, very sparingly...so much so I just tend to stay away from it all together ( and chick peas) except for certain occasions. But in their case, most definetely organic and i would never consider using Aquafab from a tinned can of chick peas.

Anything else you would like to know? 😝
