They must have been running out of farmers whose life they could destroy in India, Mexico and so on (thanks Monsanto, thanks NAFTA). I see little reason to celebrate their misfortune though, regardless of whether they voted for the heinous orange man or not. With the way things are headed we are all joining them sooner rather than later. Unless catastrophic climate change kills us all first, or we manage to get organized.

It makes you wonder whether Trump had deliberately sacrificed them to the gods of Big Agribusiness.

welll they were told what would result from tariffs...sorry for individuals but as a group they brought it on themselves.

And yes bigger agribusinesses will buy up the actual real farmers foreclosed farms.....MAGA.

The only way out is more sociamalical communistik state subsidies and bailouts that the true blue, stand on your own 2 feet, benefits create dependency, small govt true belivers will turn down out of conviction and principle....

You really are slow...

Some 84 farm operations filed for Chapter 12 bankruptcy in Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Montana in the 12 months ended in June.

Using the industry sales multiplier, every dollar of agricultural activity yields an additional 79 cents of industrial sales elsewhere in Wisconsin's economy. The state is home to 68,500 farms on 14.3 million acres. The average farm size in Wisconsin is 209 acres.

Yep farming is drying up... LOL

and how many of those bankruptcies are farms inherited by millennial's who take on debt that any seasoned farmer would never touch... I have seen the interest rate hikes kill a few of the kids who thought a bunch of shinny new green and yellow metal was the key to success...
