How could an old New Yorker, that claims to have lots of gay friends not know who Bette Midler was, long before she hit TV.

I listened to this album as early as age 9-10

Due to her performances at the baths, Bette Midler earned the nickname Bathhouse Betty. It was at the Continental, accompanied by pianist Barry Manilow, that she created her stage persona the Divine Miss M.

She IS one the top 5 Gay Icons of all time 😁

Racism, Racism, Racism. How quickly all of those screeching racism every day forgot that Forest Whitaker (Javyn) was nothing more than his version of a stereotypical dumb black guy out of Chicago.

More music thread crossover V8! I believe I heard them first from fujii or perhaps Foxy:)

Anyone who has never harassed the music threads was welcome in the Shit-post Free Zone.

Hello, musos, a nice diverse selection today/tonight. I think fujii first introduced Nouvelle Vague, CJ, but I posted their best covers, haha!

A belated happy new year to you all.

The Divine Miss M debut album was released on November 7, 1972, Silly must have been about 14.

Nope. You are a couple of years off. Not far but a few yet. Wrong way.

Racism, Racism, Racism. How quickly all of those screeching racism every day forgot that Forest Whitaker (Javyn) was nothing more than his version of a stereotypical dumb black guy out of Chicago.
