A lot of people aren’t tech savvy, some have never heard the phrases IP address, metadata etc and don’t realise what privacy settings they are using on social media.
So the individual(s) who had their personal info published here on Fasttech are stupid?! Or was that individual just holding animosity toward the poster and using this situation as a weapon? This whole thing stinks! The bottom line, public information is just that! Public. So stop crying about your public info being, you know, public!

I think stupid is a little harsh, most people have no idea about the amount of data they scatter around the internet. Regardless this was a matter of intent. The information was used, how and where it was obtained was never made clear, and there was an implication that further information on that individual, and anyone else, could be used against them.

Its the ones that freely give up information and have posted images of themselves, hoping for compliments one can only assume, and then complain about it that seem stupid to me.

But yeah, you’re right to warn people to be aware of where their data goes.

lol. Wrong. Stop making assumptions and stop creating lies.

You were not there, because if you were you would have seen what was actually written, ie a street address of a post office (not even the actual street number) and two suburbs. No "implication was made that further information on that individual, and anyone else, could be used against them" as you claim.

Yes there was... Something about shooting someone with a 44 magnum... Oh but, that didn't involve DJ...

Why did DJ post any sort of info implying he knew where v8 lived? That's threatening if you ask me.

The simplest solution is to have bans mean something. Some people are just assholes. If you like being an asshole there's no incentive not to be. This is a playground for assholes at the expense of the vast majority.
