Oooooh, was it a pre Gibson Gretsch? I had a white falcon for a bit, but it wasn't really my style. Awesome sound, played like a dream, and was nice to look at - I just didn't want to look like a country and western singer, lol. I swapped mine for a Rickenbacker 620 in Jet glo. Still got that one, and that's very much my style.

Old Epiphones, Gibsons and SelMac styles for me

I do like Gibsons. I've got an '88 LP custom in root beer, a '72 JS200 acoustic in blonde, and a 68 SG bitsa (Bigsby, double P90s, machine heads of mysterious origin, and a very well done repair to a neck break). Sounds like it's a mess, but plays like a dream.

Bitsas are the best
I like the Gib/epis from the 40's 50's mostly acoustics for me
Harmony and Silvertones are good guitars and not overpriced Espanada is a classic
Im in OZ and our dollar was parity a few years ago with the US and I made the most of it.
