Need help finding a unicorn...
Alot of false specs about lumens of specific flashlights. Is there any, that someone here owns, that actualy is over 300lm really?

Trying to find a flashlight that fits these criteria, but i feel like im on a hunt for a mythical creature.

#1 - over real 300lm
#2 - 30mm or less thickness on the handle(this will be mounted)
#3 - uses a single 18650/20700/21700
#4 - hopefully single mode(on/off) otherwise i can deal with 2-3 modes, 4 or more modes is redundant and a headache.

Anyone willing to help?

There are loads of lights that will easily meet your needs, and many that are WAY more than 300lm. Convoy makes great lights at really good prices. Many of them have 3 brightness modes plus 2 blinking modes, but you can very easily select just the brightness modes. Plus most have memory, so it will always start in the mode you used last. IE: shut it of in mid mode and it start in mid mode when you turn it on.

The link below has a lot of Convoys priced from lowest to highest.

There are some 1 mode lights that might work which are probably a little less money, but not as good as far as quality goes.

I might be able to make suggestions if you say what you need it for.
I just need one more flashlight. Just one. Honestly. :D

@airbags, im mounting it to a rifle. Between the few flashlights i own, 2 from here state 600lm but are only half as bright as the Duracell 300lm im using now, i need something brighter then that. It doesnt matter if it has a side button or bottom.

Would something like SKU 9696907 work? The mount should fit, but I don't know if it's high enough to clear the head of the light. You'd probably rarely need turbo mode because it's extremely bright. The beam range listed says 300-500m, but useable distance would probably be half that or less if your targets are small/hard to see.

There are older cheaper C8s if you don't want to spend quite so much. Look for one with an XP-L HI emitter for the longest range, and just about any that are around 1000lm should do the job.

Btw, (if it matters) the ones that say warm white will give more natural colors, while pure white or cool white will not be as natural, but they will be a little brighter.

If you narrow it down but still aren't sure, I'll do my best to help you choose one. Don't be afraid to keep asking. :)

EDIT

Wow. I just noticed that FT has gotten rid of a LOT of C8s now. There used to be hundreds, but now only 47. So much for older, cheaper ones with the XP-L HI LED.

I can find a way to make clearance, most likely wont need to do anything since its only 44mm.

What is turbo mode?

Pure white would be ideal.

Anything with a single mode?

Turbo mode is just the brightest mode of the 4 in this light. Since it draws 5000mA from the battery, it will almost surely get pretty damn hot if left in that mode for more than a few minutes. The battery won't last too long either.

Found a video.

Didn't watch the whole thing to see if he mentions how hot it gets.

I guess it's even brighter and has a longer beam range than I thought. I'm not too up on all the latest LEDs etc.

You can look through those vv, but I doubt you'll find much. They're supposed to be only 18650, 1 mode lights.

https://www.fasttech.com/category/1601/led-flashlights?f=MTI1PTE4NjUwfDEzNj0x&

A few years back a lot of the Chinese brand lights (like all the XXXXfire brands) were being sold with crappy clone LEDs which gave about a quarter of the lm that the descriptions said.

Under that search i came across SKU 9712358

Il order that and see how it turns out. The 2 i have are both fandy fire 501b, with different sku/specs... perform exactly the same.

Besides 1 mode, any you can recommend that has a lock mode function?

Not sure what you mean by lock mode, but most have mode memory and will always turn on/off in the mode you last used unless you want a different mode. Very easy to change and change back

Some of the newer Convoys like SKU 9649874 have 12 mode "groups" with various modes, but one of the "groups" has only 1 mode (100% brightness) if you want. These have different LEDs than the other one and won't be as bright or reach out as far, but they'd probably still get the job done. Unless you shoot at extreme distances in the dark.

If you decide on a certain one, google the name/model, LED, (IE: XP-L HI or Luminous SST 40) followed by the word review. If one of the flashlight forums has reviewed it, you'll get very accurate info there. Youtube also has good flashlight reviewers too.

I never heard of that brand and know nothing about Osram LEDs. Can't help you with that. Couldn't find any reviews on it either.
