How to connect your PC without an ethernet cable?
My desk was just moved but the WiFi was left behind so I can't use a cable to connect my PC with it. Now my PC can't detect the WiFi for some reason so I've just been using USB Tethering for now but even then, I feel like it's really slow than just connecting directly. Anything I can do about this?

At least your wifi card is still working?
If yes and the wifi signal is too weak you can use a repeater.

It's a little unclear.
new desk location but no wifi signal - the question is why?
Wifi signal - weak or inexistent?
Internal wifi card - not working anymore?

Clarify, please.

It sounds to me like "WiFi" in the old location was actually a wired ethernet connection to a router/modem that may also have been a WiFi access point (if WiFi was enabled on the router - I keep mine turned off).

+1 details
FYI: Wifi connections will always be a bit slower than a direct wired connection. That's just how it is.

It's kind of like ordering products from Fasttech (wifi) vs shopping in person at a local B&M (wired).

Bizarre, but nice analogy.

I've always used homeplugs, like these things

SKU 4690200

But quicker :)

Some service providers do deals on them or send them out if you ask ;)

You didn't mention that your PC had a wifi card or dongle, may want to see to that first.

If you do, try connecting on 5ghz. It doesn't have the range that 2.4ghz has but it can pierce walls better.
