A true pitch shifter won't just speed up or slow down a sample to change the pitch. It will preserve the speed while altering the pitch. Maybe a third party wave editor can do it.

Maybe you can play/export a copy of the wave to file in the right tempo and run it through another pitch shifter app and then reimport it.

It should be a native process of FL.

I probably cant help you any further than what has already been said but I used to play around with many music programs and know you should be able to achieve your goal either with fruity loops or another program without having fancy formats or paying anything at all if you google free music editing software or look for freeware sites. Also if you know what software will do the trick they usually have a 14 day trial that will get you out of trouble for now.. If you find a better program to use just buy a new thumbdrive they are cheap as chips for small drives 1G is way outdated. can you even buy them that small anymore?? ft starts at 2G.

Even if OP uses the factory Timestretch (2nd one down) in SoundForge, for example, it's pretty decent. Nearly "lossless" in terms of maintaining original pitch
