Being the technical genius I am that really doesn't know one metal from the next what are the SL's I own made from?

Or the MX for that matter?

Just curious, for comparisons sake.

Is this a combination for the US market.... or just FT having a laugh :)

@SS Fairly sure the original was made of zinc alloy, it is a relatively cheap metal, beyond that it is just a metal to me also :)

V1 SL was steel, aluminium and zinc alloy (allegedly) and the MX (which is in my hand right now) has a steel chassis with zinc alloy battery cover and side panels, apparently.

There are various alloys of zinc but the die cast parts of vape mods probably aren't the toughest and will bend and break.

"Gunmetal tang" is just a description of the colour, gunmetal grey, and the pattern on the battery tube which is a Tang dynasty style.

At least that's what they say in the specs. Yihi can't be trusted to fix a simple quiescent current battery drain issue since they have ignored it for 100 fucking years. My guess is that little blurb is a lie. The proof will be in the puddin', as they say. But I won't be finding out - I have no actual interest in anything Yihi.

And those aren't the only Yihi PCBs that have the problem.

I am not really vaping much but out of all the mods I do use, I still am using the single 18650 battery GeekVape solo most often.
Wouldn't mind finishing this all off with one more, the v2 version but hesitating in case this SL 2 is the one to finish with.

I never had an issue with the battery drain others speak of but neither do I let mods sit around with batteries inside.
I am either using the mod or its put away, minus a battery.
