Are V.V coils any good? Why 6 wraps?
Has anyone used these before? Opinions? Seems like a good price for 50.
I'm assuming 6 wraps to bring it up to 0.23. So removing 1 wrap should get you around 0.2?
Also assuming these are 3mm ID.

They're as good as the Coilology coils. Snap them up while you can before they change the price. Look like 3mm i.d. coils but if they're 2.5mm i.d. you can stick a 3mm rod to turn them into 3mm i.d. coils. Remove one wrap and resistance will lower to 0.19-0.2 ohms.

As for the "why 6 wraps" question, it's because that would be a best fit for one of their own atomizers (physically). VV's wires and coils are as good as any machine-made coils, but the pre-wrappped coils are definitely designed for the atties they make. (The resistance isn't so much a thing, since they make the "same" coil in multiple different materials for the same atty. There's a target, sure, but if a planned nichrome needed an extra wrap or two to get up to a target resistance, they'd simply make the default coil for the atty out of kanthal instead.)

Also, adding or removing a wrap on a premade coil will change the size of the coil, but not the resistance. Usually just trimming the legs on a coil doesn't make much difference.

That makes no sense. These are labelled 26*3/36 AWG.
How can they be smaller than other 26*3/36 coils, such as Coilology (which I use a lot).

Also, adding/removing length (wraps) always alters the resistance.

I don't understand what you're saying. Explain it to me.

On premade coils the resistance is set by length, not wraps. Lol, don't read too much into it....

Get up, dust yourself off and try again.tonypp wrote:

I can't answer that question, I am not familiar with your coils, sizes, or expectations. The. 26 ohm, for instance, like essellar said, is for the Requiem. Can't speak on the others. If the wire sizes match, go for it. They are good coils, you will use them! Also, the .26 that I use a lot of are 2.5mm, 4 wraps.

Don't think I was having a dig at you. I was just trying to get my head around what you were saying. Like, am I missing something?

But I raised a ticket anyway, just to confirm 26*3/36. The photos don't look quite as heavy as they should.
