An 18550 would take up the slack hey! Not sure if the tube was meant specifically to be used with an 18550 though?

The positive connection is fixed and not spring loaded. No need for a spring connection with the screw down battery tube.

Which is why I asked if there are high drain batteries that size. I'm almost positive this wasn't meant for 18500/550.

Knock knock, let the devil in. Malevolent as I've ever been, head is spinnin'. This medicine's screamin', "L-l-l-let us in!"

First time I've heard of 18550 batteries and there's very few about if you do a search, so yeah, I doubt it myself.

Also, the authentic does not include the middle battery tube so what's it's purpose? Maybe a joke by the makers perhaps?

It's quite obviously a "stash" tube! Picture the scene....ya want to smuggle a little something into the club on a Saturday night.... you wrap your "something of choice" up in a lump of aluminium foil....shove it up the stash tube. Screw on the stash tube on top of your 18350 battery and ....ta daaaa! As if by magic the foil package makes the circuit on the negative side and you can confidently vape your way past the door staff and into the nightclub!
These Chinese cloners think of everything........ everything! 😜🍾🍷🍷

Guys, I was joking about 18550 batts. If they do even exist they are probably not available for consumer purchase and most likely not even be suitable for most vaping styles. But it sounds to me that such a size battery would fit, or some size around there.

But none of this matters IMHO because decent 18490/18500 batteries are hard to come by and aren't much shorter than an 18650.

Maybe a button top 18490/18500 would might do the trick, but Provari fucktwats bought most of the "decent" ones and what is on the market is priced way to high for what they are.

Consider the useless mystery tube as a gift which someday you may find a use for if you decide to keep it.

Magnets are a bad idea in mods. Even regulated mods.

Again, why anyone wants to save just 15mm in height when the 18500 batts out there are all pretty lousy is beyond me.

I can understand wanting to use an 18350 as you lose a considerable amount of height, but an 18500? ... not seeing the logic there.

At any rate, depending on exactly how much s[ace needs to be taken up, it might be possible take a 21700 to 18650 adapter (see pic) & cut off the tube part. What you have left is a 21mm disk. Whittle this disk down carefully to make an 18mm disk.

Whether or not this would work would depend on how much space needs to be taken up and how thick the contact is on the adapter.

This is just a idea/theory until someone actually tries it.

But again...
