first aid - display dimmer hack
Ordered this from the 3ther place and it was the first thing I thought needed to be changed...so
just in case...you also might think that this definitely is too bright of a display here;
- and how to avoid being (literally) blinded by it?
Remember photo negatives? If old enough you may have some of these still to lie around somewhere.
Cut two pieces** into shape - slip them into place and the intensity will be pretty much as it should have been
from the start. (Colour is changing with a slight tinge of violet.)
Enjoy.
This mod is pretty well done in (almost) any other respect.
The only other thing is a rattling 510 pin... without atty + mod shaken = dead silence, no rattle.
With atomizer attached all of a sudden it sounds as if there is something loose inside the 510.
Maybe someone here knows a fix for that?
(**or as many as is needed to get to your prefered brightness of course)

510 is spring loaded with a very long pin.
So far it works well.
But kind of worrying. You're right.
Can not figure out how to fix this yet.
Just have to wait and see.
