Same Chipset as the SXK-BB 79watt?
Anyone know of a technical review of this chip's temp control functions?

I dont think they used a different 70w chip than whats in the billet. There would be no need to from their standpoint, it would only cost them money . The 70w BB chip is notoriously junk when it comes to TC and i would be willing to bank this is the same exact chip. Best bet is to: use it only in power mode, swap the 70w for a dna60 (70w and dna60 have same dimensions, just a matter of desoldering 70w and soldering in dna60), or break down and buy the authentic.

That is a good idea. Did you ever do that with a mod ? How to desolder the 70w with a DNA 60 ?

Lots of people have done this with the bboxes, I'm sure you could find a walkthrough or guide on a forum somewhere. Perhaps ECF or VU.

This is a nice potential only downside is the chip, if I had the skill set and tools I would swap that 70w chip with a dna60 straight, I've seen countless issues with the bb that has this same chip and that for me is a big no go. I am hoping they release a dna version, I have never done any soldering and won't want to chance it with a fairly expensive project, this and a dna chip

Fair enough but this chip placement and parts will be different in this, I would love to see someone do it to this, on another note the sbs mod by dovpo will be releasing soon and that's a dna60

So according to the three place, this has the SEVO70 chip, which is also used in the SXK moonraker E8. The moonraker seems to work well according to these FT forum members: https://www.fasttech.com/forums/vapers/t/3066836/sxk-moonraker

Also @The_Masteres, sorry for going off topic, but do you have experience with the no-name spica pro clone on FT? I have posted a topic in the discussion section of it's product page, if you would prefer to answer there. Thanks
