wicking
I have been rebuilding since 2017 and usely everything works, but these steel rods, i just cant make working. is there something i am missing?

I am using the 3mm steel rods with 80/20 juice and i get no flavor or prober juice flow out of this thing.
Ordered some spare rods here to test if it is faulty rods (tank bought via other site though).
or do i need to try thinner cables, like the 2.5 which came with it.

Any sugestions would be nice.

i read somewhere that the oil of your fingerprints could afect the wicking, so clean your wickings rods and manipulate them with nose pliers.

Also, that kind of wicking works better with 70/30 ejuice and thinner juices.

I haven't been able to make these things work either. I boiled them, soaked them in soap and alcohol and boiled them again but nogo. I will try thinner ones because they sit very thight in the holes and maybe this affect proper juice flow. I don't really know.

In the distant past when I used cable I had to torch it with a small gas torch until all the gunk ran out before running it through an ultrasonic bath.

I always use SS cable or rolled mesh to wick my RDTA's and find it very effective at keeping the cotton saturated. Don't really know why your having issues, other than the 80/20 juice is just too viscous, my 70/30 juice wicks consistently. Or should I say constantly, cause if I let it sit unused for a week... It'll drain a tank completely dry.

Yeah, I found that out the hard way with a Taifun BT, and it ruined the leather (battery door) cover on my Triade. 😪

Thx, it has to be my juice. Too viscous.

yeah i heard that about the oil on your finger thing, but i used paper towels to stick them in, so that should not be the problem. perhaps the torch thing and a sonic bath will help(thx for the advise).

Maybe that is why there is 2.5 cables inside for thicker juice.
The most annoying part with this tank is that there is no explanation for the thinner cables.
i never use 70/30, but i guess i need to try that.
trying to use vapefly cotton, it makes a bit better juice flow, but still not enough flavor, compared to expectations.
my old griffin still gives better flavor.
What kind of mesh would be best for a roll in 80/20 juice flow, have som 400 and 200 laying around, bought but never used it

Yeah triade cover dont like juice, mine got broken that way to. glass broke on my tank while sitting in my pocket.
Learned the hard way, that a mod that cant handle juice is not a MOD for me lol

I have now changed juice to some mango instead of kiwi.
The flavor is there now and the flow is much better now after changing liquid. still 80/20 but using 3mm now with firebolt cotton from vapefly (SKU 9658123).
Starting to wonder if there has been something wrong with the juice or maybe a combo of other cotton and juice.

But still curious about the mesh, guess i need to look some you tube about that topic

I still use my krakens and RSSTS, and use steel cable with superb flavour to date, I torch mine also before installing , mesh gives even better flavour
M2mm x 3mm or 4mm - M2.5mmm x 3 or 4mm - M3mm x 3 or 4mm screws /grubs etc for new vapers will be invaluable
