Edit your post to add "@Anniepan" in the title so it gets her attention. She will have someone check to see what battery it takes.

Hello rickwhoo,

The flashlight uses the 26650 battery, we have added this information in specifications. Thank you.

LOL And I'm pretty sure they've "added" another $1.00 or so to the price while they were at it, because I intended to mention not to expect 3000lm from an $11.00 flashlight. Got distracted and forgot about it.

Btw, it doesn't have 4 LEDs. The XHP50.2 is one LED but the die is divided into 4 sections.

And those pics showing how bright it is at night are a figment of someone's imagination. I have a couple of 4000lm lights and they are nowhere near as bright as the pics show for this one.

Just wanted to warn you.

Actually they didn't. Google cache snapshot of the page as it appeared on Mar 22, 2020 00:18:30 GMT and it was same price then as it is now.

However, the price did go up $0.16 sometime after January 30, 2020, which is the last archive.org archive of the page.

That's weird. I would have bet money (not much though) that it was $11 + when I saw it yesterday.

Oh well. Time to make an appointment with the optometrist I guess. ;)

Let's see if the price goes up sometime today right before the 10% off sale starts. lol.

I'm actually interested in this light myself now since it takes a 26650. I have a lot of them because I got them on clearance for $1.50 each (Hohmtech with old wrap). Not looking to light up the world so this might be decent for the price + 10% off.

The only good quality, fairly low priced 26650 lights I know of are Convoy lights, but they start around double the price of this one.

Good luck if you order this one. :)

Good to know. Can you tell me what I can expect to be bad about this light besides the overrated lumens?

I'm not a flashlight buff. I have a 21700 light only because I got it for free lol.

Aside from the lm being ridiculously over-rated, there's no way I can even guess what might go wrong with it. If you're lucky, maybe nothing for a long time. Than again it might quit soon after you get it. I've had both happen to me with some of the cheap lights I've bought in the past. Obviously, cheap unbranded lights will have the cheapest parts available to keep the cost down.

Probably the most common problem is switches going bad sooner then better quality lights.

One other thing is that cheap zoom lights often aren't very water resistant at all, but maybe that's not a concern if you only intend to use it inside or not when it's raining.

The other usual problem is that when you zoom out, (for distance) most cheap zooms will project a magnified image of the LED, which usually isn't that bright, and there will be no lm at all around that image like normal lights have, which enables you to see something in the distance, yet still have a dimmer light around the center beam to see things close to you.

Thanks, I'll pass. This is actually how that free 21700 light I got behaves. But it can be forgiven because it was free. I will probably pass and look into one of the Convoys instead.
