Works OK as a mod. Used it in power mode only. Think it puts out more power than it displays, I'm at 5W and normally use 7. Sounds like it fires at a higher power for a fraction of a second, like a preheat although the display doesn't show it. Kinda big for a single battery mod but guess it's harder to tip over. Ohms displayed is very tiny font on both 510 mounts. It displays resistance, amps, volts, and power using either 510. Using alligator clips it's a larger font with ohms and graphic only, wish it was this way with side 510 mount. Bottom line, it's worth the the $12~$14 but not much more. Going in the closet as a spare.

Thanks for the review.
Something like preheat in power mode would be nice.
I will order this mod.

Until I read this I assumed it was just me that got faulty one. ^^^

Yes, those were my first thoughts but having tested it under load I found that, whilst the screen tells you it’s doing the right thing, it fires at battery voltage in low wattage.

Or or to put it another way: it boosts the voltage when required but it doesn't buck below battery voltage and becomes “pass through”.

If you navigate through the menu to Power Mode and adjust the curve from about 12W down to 5W and staying in that screen fire and watch the reading it will tell you it is going down from 4.0 volts to 2.6 volts but on my test meter it shows 4.3 volts down to 3.8 volts.

I should add: I'm using a 1.40 ohm coil.

If you want to vape at 7 Watts I suggest the following:

Build your coil to about 2.1 ohms.

Enter the Power Mode and set the curve at about 10 or 12 Watts down to 7 Watts.

This will give you a quick “ramp-up” and settle down to the required voltage without going below the battery voltage.

Hope this helps.

I have ordered one in red.
This sounds for a really big new adventure.
And the adventure is cheap, only $13.

Yes, I like it enough to have ordered another one, this time in red though. They don't have any left in black. :(

Got one. Menu is in Chinese. To change to English:
Push FIRE 3 times
Push DOWN 2 times

Will default TO 40W every time you power on unless you store your setting in memory through SYSTEM>MODE SET

That works, thanks.
