as per title.....
any owners or someone in the know who could tell me if this is painted with cerakote or something else?

This mod is painted aluminum with a silk screened design over that....or similar technique. No cerakote.
The Quake 18650/18350 is similar with a cerakote like finish. If you don't mind a little more weight, I think it's a harder hitter.

ok thank you.....
i was considering the Quake but prefer the look and weight of the Animal,
actually i prefer the plain black ShenRay painted copper version of the Animal but the weight of it was putting me off as well as the paint job potentially looking poor in a short space of time.
this particular one is already on order but i may cancel it.

The fire switched staying pressed in and touching the negative part of the mod, completing the circuit. If your fire button is pressed in too far just push it out with your finger from the inside of the tube.
