Why should it not work?
It's a simple mesh tank as any other mesh tank. I've no experience with the profile rta, nor will i ever have, but a friend of mine uses selfmade mesh strips in all his mesh rt- and rda's including the profile rda... and he likes it.

First thing that could stand in the way is the resistance...I have no idea how big is the resistance of regular SS or kanthal mesh strip?
Second I dont know if regular mesh makes hot spots
And at the end, the regular mesh might be to thin - getting hot and cold to fast
Of course, none of this must be true...thats why Im asking :)

and that's a good question, there are shops where you get Mesh in different types...
But i have no idea what mesh is usable, so you can use youre own mesh, like i said, but i have no idea what mesh is usable.
I had an BT Tank and used simple mesh from a german Shop that is specialized in heating wires etc.
But i didn't liked the Mesh wicking idea and never used something like that again..

I use the standard Profile Mesh from wotofo instead of the OFRF ones. Allows me to save some battery, and it works perfectly... well, except for the leaking issues. Watched all the different wicking techniques, but still have to practice...

I use Vandy Vape SS 150 Mesh in all my Profiles SKU 8785103

Works fine and provides for temp control usage in my DNA devices.

The only drawback is the wicking material is slightly harder to thread through the mesh due to the jagged edge left from cutting the mesh strip to size.
Use the blue to drive your screw.

I have no problem using 'normal' mesh in my profile RDA so I have to assume it'll be fine in the RTA (though, as others have pointed out, it can be obnoxious to wick). Like KYBlue I use the VV mesh mainly. I get better results using lower count mesh, 80 & 100, as it seems to handle more power.

Yes you can use regular mesh sheets cut into strips lowest I got 200 ,just oxidize your mesh with a flame thrower torch first, you can get hot spots out with pulsing once installed ,I don't use mesh coils I do use mesh in gennies tho, your resistance is where you may have an issue I got tons mesh here, I'd use courser mesh not 400 or 500 lol
M2mm x 3mm or 4mm - M2.5mmm x 3 or 4mm - M3mm x 3 or 4mm screws /grubs etc for new vapers will be invaluable Embrace the vape

Thank you
Mesh is good , any mesh...
Even the fly wire screen door, just cut rectangles out as required.

Seriously the kanthal OFRF mesh is very good but expensive.
The vanity vape roll of stainless mesh works well and is economical.
Enjoying the Profile rda whilst waiting for the Profile rta to arrive.
