Because they outsourced their R&D to fasttech forums...

You dont see it in the first step that an IKEA-buffer-stop would help.
If you ride an older motorcycle you perhaps know about these big conical rubber "last stops" in the rear shock absorbers.
But funny to see this leaf spring/IKEA-buffer-stop test with a (steam engine age) spring waage,
normaly you need a digital scale diagram "force over way" to to see a (wanted) spring which gets harder over the travel way,
but this is OK just to fast show to the customers how it works.
In the video they try to screw on the topcap 7 times with no success.
OK, the threads are perhaps a bit rough because they are just coming from the production line,
very light conical threads wiil perhaps help, 24mm are more difficult than 22mm because of screw on angle differences.
I think after the last changes this mod will be very nice
and I like this very fast Cthulhu reaction.
Reaction time to change production is about less than 4 weeks, very impressive.

I have one here in my hand, the threads are good. The person in the video is probably related to Christy Brown.

Edit: The buffer stops work great for attto and this mod, would recommend.

I'm not sure if I mentioned it here or elsewhere, but I had some rubber from some old tubes that I slipped under the battery contact. I used a hole punch to make some 8mm discs. I folded it over to make it about 2.5mm thick. It works really well.

I don't have any leaky atomisers so I don't need to protect it from moisture, but I do have a tube of that glue I mentioned which is perfect for waterproofing the chip if you wanted to. SKU 9678825

@wuwei,
The differences between atties 510s hights can be perhaps about 1.0mm (or more?)
That needs a clear designed progressive spring which gets much harder about the travel way.
That is also possible with the IKEA-solution.
With a very progressive spring the user will feel if the atty 510 is too long.
In the Cthulhu video I do not see any progressive spring reaction,
this construction in detail in the video is just much stronger/harder.
This will perhaps results in gaps with some atties.
Like you said, it is close to splitting hairs ..

I actually like your idea better using the buffer, but waiting another 3-4 weeks for a $1 item is too much for me, heh. I had to used what I could find.

What's your guys endgame thoughts on this mod with the updated chip? I really like the form factor of a mech I just drink to much to trust myself with one anymore, my 24mm SS atty's should fit on it nicely.

4 year vape anniversary coming up in a couple days and thinking of treating myself with this.

Any other similar ones in 24/25mm?
