It's a relevant point you make though

It is, because even at 4.2 volts you are still pulling way above 5 amps @30 watts and your 10A battery isn't anywhere close to giving you your claimed 100% overhead.

Also, the highly unusual practice of changing batteries at an unloaded voltage of 3.9 is information you didn't seem fit to include in your previous post, a post that said "Take me as an example"? If given the choice, I tend to choose "ignorance" over "maliciousness" as an explanatory model, but since you apparently knew that running a battery down to 3.2V will result in a higher than 10 amps discharge for 30 watts of power, one is left to wonder what made you declare a 10A cell perfectly fit for 30W vaping.

It's certainly something Vapers often overlook (or aren't even aware of) when considering their battery purchase. :-)

And your obfuscating the matter isn't helping.

The only obfuscation here is your unwillingness to admit you assumed wrongly.

It's twelve inches long, but don't use it as a rule...

No I don't chap. The only error is your assumption. What I said was merely general.

Yea, it was generally incorrect.

That's an incorrect amp calculation. Even with a fully charged battery cell you will pull closer to 8 amps from the battery.

Watts / input V = Amps. in case this is a one cell mod, you draw 9.5A at 3.2V (which is near the cut off I think on your mod).

The 6V are the OUTPUT and have nothing to do with the capability of your cells since this is regulated. Your math only applies to mechs since input = output there.

In the real world it will probably draw above 10 amps due to chip inefficiencies in boosting the voltage.
A = W/Vinput/efficiency

Well... Lots of info.

Thank you all.

I'm currently using an e-grip II with my profile RDA until my Vandyvape Pulse X BF Squonq arrives in the mail. In my e-grip it's using 3V at 50W which outputs about 16A, so it appears this 40T is a good option with the extra 1000mAh.

I just received 4 more 40T batteries today and I see that FT finally started shipping them in plastic storage boxes like they do for 18650s. So that's new. The last couple times I ordered 21700 batteries they just wrapped them in plastic wrapping.

Normally when I'm not charging or using batteries in a device, I keep them in silicone battery condoms though. For 21700 size I use SKU 9617630. So the plastic boxes won't get much use here. Just thought I'd share about this classy move by FT.

No joy for me to buy my batteries from here because I got no option at checkout.

I bought them from other places, even if I pay for delivery is still a good price than to buy them locally.

FT loss, not mine.

Where from?
I get no option with FT for Australia, but I'd like to know who does ship to Aus.
I end up buying mine locally, but they're not so cheap.
