Best set up for Salt Nic?
Hello Guys

Can somebody tells me what's the best set up using this coil for Salt Nic juice (nic level 35mg)?
I'm just started to try Salt Nic adn I just bought this wire together with Vandy Vape Simple Ex Squonk.
Look forward for your advise.
Thank you.

You're going to need to keep the coil fairly large and the voltage low. Make sure you have some thin round wire on hand as well because you're going to have to do a lot of fiddling to get it right.

I'm afraid that's a poor choice of wire for the Simple EX. The Simple EX has a minimum resistance of 0.8Ω, and you'd need to make a ginormous coil - 8 wraps around 3.5mm - to get 0.8Ω out of the SS316L version of this wire. Not only will that be a crazy tight fit in the RDA, it'll take a lot of power (in MTL terms) to heat up in a reasonable amount of time, making the 800mAh battery seem awfully small.

The same wire in another setup would be a great choice - you could build a coil at around 0.4-0.5Ω that would be a reasonable size for an MTL atty and run it happily at a relatively low power. In the Simple EX, though, you'd want to be using either the Ni80 or Kanthal version of this wire in order to get a reasonable-sized coil at a resistance the mod allows.

That said, high-nic salt nic juices are coil gunkers, so you're going to lose the advantages of a clapton wire pretty quickly as the nooks and crannies fill in. You might as well stick to a plain round wire build unless you're a very light vaper who doesn't mind dry burning and rewicking frequently.

Multi strand wire is counterproductive at low watts and I haven't noticed any difference in flavour compared to round wire.

My coils are between .7 and 1.2 ohms using UD kanthal, 26, 27 or 28 guage.
