Changing the spring?
Just got this from FT. The mod is beautifully built, but the switch on this one is very hard to press. There's a spare spring in the pack and I thought it would make the switch less stiff, but after changing them I din't feel any difference.

Are there any alternative springs on FT I could swap the original one for?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

I did, and I came across an online store selling magnets somewhere on the other side of the globe from where I live. I have zero DIY skills, I would have no idea what to order and how to fit it... I need a simple 1-to-1 replacement, if such things exist, like a spring of the same size, but less stiff...

Watched the video. You clearly don't appreciate the depth of my ineptitude with anything mechanical. I still can't wick atomizers, for chrissake, after half a year of learning with countless videos and lessons from those who do it perfectly in a vape shop. 8 times out of 10 I still get it wrong and have to start from scratch.

If there's a replacement part somewhere here, it would be great, if not, trying to do anything DIY would only produce a huge mess and grow my already humongous frustration with the user unfriendliness of the vaping gear.

Maybe SKU 1208510 might fit, I don't know but it's cheap enough to give it a try.

I'll measure the diameter of the spare spring tomorrow and if similar, I'll give it a try. Thanks for the tip!

Sorry Martin, I couldn't know...
I supposed that you've already wrapped some coils if you have this tube...A spring is just a huge spaced coil, nothing else.

Maybe if you fully compress the spring for a few days in a vise may loosen some of it's tightness. Just a thought from the top of my head which sometimes feel like it's in a vise! :-)

Heat treatment can also remove some of the temper. Oven or flame might work. But this is hard to reverse if overdone and makes the spring too weak. Also might make it rust if it is a steel spring. Just a thought if he gets desperate.
