Top Cap gets Stuck everytime
Everytime I close screw the top cap after refilling, it gets stuck and there's no way in hell I can unscrew it without a glove (and I have strong hands). It's annoying

Is anyone else experiencing this problem on the YFTK Kayfun Prime? I made sure every part is lubed btw.

The only things that can cause that are the two o-rings on the top cap. And yes, I know you've swapped them out for SvoëMesto originals (reddit ain't that far away on the 'lectric sidewalk). It's not so much the o-rings themselves as the machining of where they fit that would be the problem - all it takes is a thousandth of an inch of groove depth to go from just right to either too tight or too loose. My usual tactic is to go with clear/white o-rings when I'm dealing with things that are too tight or that bind because they've pushed any lube out of the way - they tend to be just a tad thinner and are more slippery. You can also try the next diameter down - 1mm difference might not seem like much, but you don't need much here, and that 3.14mm of extra stretch will make the o-ring just that little bit thinner.

You've just found a use for all those freebie vape bands.

I had this problem on a KF V5, when I looked closely there was incomplete machining on the top cap threads. Once I removed the extra metal shaving from the thread I ran a wire brush around it a few times and it's been fine ever since. I'm guessing that extra shaving that missed my initial inspect was acting as a compression washer and binding the threads.

My YFTK Prime top cap binds too no matter how easily I close it. I haven’t checked it yet but it feels like its metal-to-metal and once it turns only a couple of millimeters, it breaks loose and turns easily. Guess it's time to work on it.

I removed the wide o-ring from the top cap and now it's good. Opens easily and no other problems

I replaced the o-ring with the official spec.

I purchased SKU 9619221 what was at the time the cheapest Prime at Fasttech and haven't had any stuck top cap issue, though I think the top cap is a little flimsy. I got tired of refilling often so I bought SKU 9561300 for extra capacity. But overall, I am completely satisfied with that cheap bastard. :-)

You don't really need to crank the top cap down, it seals well before the parts are screwed down. It's the o-ring that keeps it from unscrewing.
