What causes this mod to hit so weakly?
The two reviews say it, my own experiences bare it out. Even with a very low resistance build and a freshly charged battery there doesn't appear to be enough power transferring to the coil despite it making the switch mechanism red hot.

Anyone with the technical nous know what might be causing this problem and whether it is fixable? There are not many pieces to this mod and I wonder if this problem could be rectified with some modding? Such a pain in the arse to return it for a refund.

You answered your own question. The switch should not get hot and needs cleaning/fixing.

Unfortunately discontinued before I got one...

I suppose the problem is the contact pin.
The hole seems to big and there‘s not enough surface for the contact with the positive pole of the atomizer.

I‘ll return this Mod. 50 USD for a not working Mod is quite too much.

Mine arrived today. Hits harder than a Pulse squonk out of the box. Very nice weight and shape. More confortable than a boxer squonk.

A couple things needed to be fixed.

The plate that is pressed to make contact is paper thin, looks like SS or alu. This causes hot button and poor conductivity. A new 21awg copper plate cut to size replaced it. It's a tiny tab, i suggest cutting one like the og venom x's tab, it has a round cutting to make a better contact. YT has a review where it can be seen. 510's contact seems SS too, unless you order/machine a brass one, stick to it..

Bottle's carrier top cap o-ring is too thick, use SKU 4625005 to replace it, otherwise the cap gets stuck inside the mod. The grub screw at the bottom, pressing a spring and a ball bearing is what keeps carrier's tension.

When screwing your atty make sure it goes well into the recessed section to make good connection too, it can get slightly misaligned.

I'm happy with mine for the price, fixing the flaws took me 5 min.

Bekindi, post the photo please, sorry, but I doubt that all of you have corrected since a contact part of the connector from stainless steel, and has to be from brass. Sparks will be and melting not of uniform metal will be too, there will be a heating of the button.I think this dead "body", it is necessary to change. Or to return money.
