If you had well read the FAQ and/or forum, you would notice that only "ships next day" items are likely to be on hand in the FT warehouse.

Stock status here are the stock status of the supplier of the item, not FT. Stock statuses are not updated in real time either.

Think of FT as your personal shoppers. You order it, then they send out for your items to fill your order.

You could also think of it in terms of an auto repair shop. They often have to send out for the parts to fix your car when they're not on hand.

They list items from distributors/manufacturers who give them the ETA's. Some play fair, some don't. Sometimes FT also hold a small amount of stock of a particular item. It's a different retail model than a store that holds a lot of stock on a small amount of specialist items.

It is normal here. I usually cancel if it gets too drawn out. I'm not going to bash my head against the wall over something I can't control. I can choose to buy it elsewhere.

Having said that though, the things I buy usually do come in and there are other reasons why I prefer this place over others.

MAP is like a coupon code, but only for specific items that are marked as MAP ("minimum advertised price"). The code is entered in the shopping cart. It doesn't work with other codes or discounts.

Once applied, it will show the discount price for the item that you'll be charged.
