Is TC working for you?
Is TC working for you without Arctic Fox? I’ve been using an evic primo mini for a few years with various tanks and never could get TC to work. Currently enjoying my Serpent SMM RTA and plan to use that on this Wismec and hopefully TC will work. Thanks

Without AF? Nope, it was shit.

I use AF with it and it's great. =)

This example is the Baby Beast RTA with the RDA head and a SS316 dual coil build of Vandy Vape Superfine MTL 30*2/38 SS316 clapton wire.

Why wouldn't ya use a superior firmware for any mod that supports AF?

Sadly, I don’t have a PC to upload the firmware to a mod. I only have iPhones and an iPad.

Ah, bummer. Well, there are workaround for MacOS and Linux...a bit geeky though. ;-)

Probably easier to snag an old PC from the trash and run Windows just for it. (not connected to Internet)

I literally have half a dozen old XP/Vista/Win7 PCs I got at thrift or free, good for odd tasks, old games and playing around with Linux.

I don't know much about current Apple stuffs TBH, the last time I used one was a Macintosh LC 575...it still runs...lol!

OFC, it'll run just fine using wattage mode as long as you build accordingly and use good batteries. TC isn't everything. ;-)

Your Primo is basically a fancier eVic VTwo Mini, which I have several of and I use them daily. Great mods if ya don't push 'em too hard.

Old school FTW... 0.7 ohm single coil Kanthal build @ 23W

But, for the Joyetech/Wismec/Eleaf family of mods that support it, AF really does make a world of difference, IMHO.

Getting near DNA performance and features out of $30 (or less) hardware is nifty.

I do love my P80 though, super light and easy to use for the $20 I paid for it..

PS:
Of the non-AF mods I have, I'd say the best for TC out of the box would be my CoV mods, Kbox Mini Platinum and the Aspire NX series. Lot of other do well too like the Yihi SX mods, but I don't have any of those.

I also still vape kinda 'old-school' around 40W and under, so YMMV. =)

Even with AF, I still use wattage on some atties/builds. This twisted 30ga SS316 build here at 1.2ohms I can do either with:

I do TC with single wire SS316 coils, no fancy stuff. OEM firmware always worked for me (several JT devices and yes, I'm a fanboy) as it should. AF's SS316 preset however failed me. Infact, it didn't even consistently fail, it changed its own behaviour arbitrarily, even tho the coil's resistance was locked. Too spooky, made me upload the OEM firmware again.

Are you spacing your coil? Did you have success with more than one type of atomizer?

I tried with spaced/non-spaced coils.

The proprietary coils I use in my subohm tanks are all Kanthal at the moment, and I have only 1 RTA (Nano), so I can't do excessive testing.

Linux geeky!? Hehehe 10 years ago maybe.

Another VV MTL 316L user, I swear by the stuff!

I just finished tinkering with a silicone single coil adapter made from food grade silicone putty for the OBS Engine 2. Not much to look at really but the amount of flavor and vapor from the single coil at 20 watts preheat and 16.5 power is pretty amazing. 14 to 20 mwh vapes should nurture a battery for a reasonable amount of time!

Edited for the Escribage.

Sweet! xD

I also use Mint for my old/salvaged Inspiron_N5050 2nd-gen i3 laptop with the busted hinge..lol.. Works fantastic even with 4Gb of RAM.

I don't have any DNA mods to know much about it, but if you're using WINE or such for eScribe, it *should* work for AF too I'd think? Have to try it sometime here... =)
