Paint or Steel?
Looks like brushed or polished steel but could just be a gloss. Can someone confirm which?

Clear-coated metal with hard plastic sides. Probably coated zinc alloy.

The metal part of the case *does* attract a magnet though...so it may be SS.

I paid half this site's price so I couldn't care less really. A nice little mod. ;-)

Wow, great deal. Yeah zinc alloy isn't magnet, can you change amps to puff counter etc like other joyetech stuff?

Yeah, it was a good deal on an open-box P80/Elabo kit.

I'm running Artic Fox firmware on the P80, so ya, I can do whatever I want. ;-)

Currently, running a 3mm 26awg Titanium TC build in the Elabo using a Wismec Armor RDA head.

Here it is running a SS316L Notch coil in SS316L TCR:

I think it is a nice looking mod. Stainless steel should not really be magnetic though. I can't seem to justify buying a mod that wont run Artic Fox.

True, I'd think more likely it's some kinda zinc alloy. It's really light though.
The Elabo tank when full weighs more than it does and it is supposed to be SS.

It has the same 'thunk' and look of the coated metal on the SMY 75W Mini's frame but a bit thinner metal.

Same here.

I also was NEVER going to buy a Wismec mod, but this one has the better/centered 510, takes a 25mm tank, and of course, takes AF. So, I got it.

Quite happy with it. :)

SS can be magnetic. It's zinc alloy or something plated in zinc and then given a clear coat.

SS mods look like sxk zero mini because SS is harder to work with. 99.99% of mods on FT are marked incorrectly as SS.

Austenitic stainless steels, that is any food, medical or aerospace stainless is NOT magnetic.

Edit: Not that I am concerned about stainless in a mod. I do prefer atomizers to be made from either 304, or 316 stainless though.

Ha, I noticed a TINY dent.
Apparently, I'd dropped a screwdriver on it...or they did at the factory.
Good news, no flaking of the coating.

Click for full-size

Extreme crop view...you can even see that it was a Phillips screwdriver. (possibly blue?)

Not color-corrected so ya getting shit CFL + floro backlit LCD mix there.
