It's too big for threading lol, anyone else got this issue? Should I bother shaving it down a little or just get rid of it

I just took it off, lots of gap in mine and I'm not concerned about it, able to use it safely. I'm also using it on a regulated mod, if you intend on using it on anything else I'd take a file to it and slightly shave it down. I'm going to shave mine down but I can make it work without as well.
Another thing you might be able to is cut the flat part off completely, as long as it comfortably still sits inside so it doesn't make contact with the side.

yeah it comes off..... weird thing. I have the black one and this gold one, sometimes it works better without the insulator, sometimes better with, idk. weird.
