and 26000 mAh...

We’re paying congress millions to do nothing. We’re paying Trump nothing to do everything.

NO 18650 battery will hit 60 amps but maybe once.... right before it burns its guts out and becomes useless.

A Samsung 25R can for .5 seconds ;-) (Not a good idea, but Samsung did rate them up to 100A for instantaneous bursts before extreme risk of venting.)

LOL Samsung isn't going to do it anymore or better than a Sony or LG or whatever brand. Like I said. NO 18650 battery will hit 60 amps but maybe once. At this rate you'll bust the C rating very fast (IE Sony vtc5s have an 80 degree c rating or 176 F rating before diminishing returns and yet the tests prove they start to diminish sooner than 80c)... right before it blows it's guts out and becomes useless (I'll even add potentially dangerous too). If you get one to do it even a few times, you've all but ruined it by doing so or worse! The battery can blow up and hurt the individual and or innocent bystanders. Samsung, like every battery manufacturer, lies about their batteries specs anyway.

So I don't care what Samsung advertises. My west Mountain CBV IV Battery analyzer as well as Danials @ battery analyzer has proved em all liars.

Don't believe the hype. Be safe with batteries. While some 18650 (2100 mAh and lower capacity) batteries will handle 30 amps, even up to 40 amps for short bursts, remember too, that doing so, too many times, shortens the life of the battery and can make the battery more dangerous the more times they are pushed that hard. Don't do it! We have enough bleeding heart, tree hugger nuts not knowing about vaping in general already and trying to stop us from vaping. They don't need any more ammunition. I'm done here. I'll let the rest of you keep arguing about something that's been proven over and over.

Like I said, it's not a good idea, but the math, and testing does support that the high end cap is around 80-100A for less than one second bursts, and giving adequate rest time between pulses, it's the threshold where the amount of risk of venting starts to increase exponentially.

Truth is, that rating isn't meant for vapers. It'd be a LOT more useful for users of high powered, portable flashbulbs for professional use and other such applications where the discharge time doesn't exceed .5-1 seconds, and requires adequate rest periods between pulses.

You'd also be surprised how well in particular the chemistry of a Samsung 25R stands up to abuse, imho, it's only second to Panasonic NCR chemistry cells. I have never heard of a venting event involving either of said chemistry causing any sort of explosion or violent event.

So, for PSA purposes, this info isn't really meant for vapers, it's just telling it like it is. IMO, if you're using 20A continuously rated cells to vape, staying at or under 20A is generally the best thing to do with your use of it. That said, a very knowledgeable and experienced vaper could likely use them upwards of their pulsed discharge rating (10 seconds on, 30 seconds rest safe minimums per pulse) which is around 30A give or take, without doing any significant harm to the chemistry of the cell other than faster lifespan reduction. You must also consider when it reaches a point where the capacity has decreased at least 10% it then makes those 30A pulsed loads exceed the C rating.

And now we've gotten to exactly why I wish sellers and manufacturers would be more forthcoming with battery C ratings. Then we could easily find out the safe amp limits of our cells throughout their lifespans as they degrade and lose capacity :-\

I can testify that 25r's die in a very controlled and relatively uneventful manner, just a lot of heat. Good batteries for mechs

Hello jjosero,

Our manufacturer confirmed that it would hit 60A for a second, but last 30A in normal.

Thank you.
