Gurgling and flooding
Hello.
I recently received this tank and in terms of throat hit, flavour and draw I'm super pleased.
But only problem. I use 2.5mm coils. Usually something like 26AWG KA1, 6 wraps or 28x40 SS316L clapton, also 6 wraps so I end up somewhere around 0.7ohms and it floods.
I tried everything. More cotton seems to make it worse which is absolutely wtf in my mind.
No spitback but if I don't use it for longer periods of time the juice just goes straight through.
No problems outside (it is winter here) but as I come indoors it once emptied whole tank into breast pocket on my jacket. I use liquids in the range of 40/60 to 60/4O (VG/PG) and in Siren 2 I actually had opposite problems with same builds (outside - dryhit after dryhit, indoors - perfectly functional)
Any suggestions to what I may be doing wrong?

Have you taken the tank section apart completely to check the o-ring that seals the tank and chimney? I can't remember the trick to get it off, but it isn't hard - it all pops off. Or you could block the airflow holes on the base and draw from the drip tip to see if it's all sealed. That would be my beginning point.

I actually didn't have much luck building with wires lower than 28AWG (SS) without spitback. It's a hot vape any lower which isn't my idea of MTL. I vape at around 0.8-0.9 Ohms.

If it isn't the wicking, you may have just got a bum atomizer.

Thanks for reply.
I checked every o-ring, on the base and the one holding chimney and the 510 for drip tip. Everything seems nice and sealed.
I tried rasing the coil a bit and not stripping the cotton leaving the top and bottom which doesn't wick as good as the middle.
After refilling it still gurgles but by now I think that's normal. Now maybe it is solved but time will show.
I am a bit surprised as everybody said this is a foolproof tank.

Have you ever had a tank that worked perfectly both inside and out in the cold? The viscosity increases with lower temperature so if the temperature difference is too big, it might not be possible to build for both scenarios. I only drip, but just dripping 90% vg in -12c/10f can get annoying, especially if I've been out for a while. Perhaps pg is less affected by temperature (it's an anti freeze after all, rite guis?).

also try keeping the cotton away from the block that the airflow hole is drilled in

Yeah but that wouldn't be the problem. But no matter what I did, it leaked indoors.
Ignoring the outdoors scenario I was unable to make something that would work.
Now it seems very promising tho.

Ok let's do on more test . but after a good cleaning . with coils an cotton removed . fill 20% with liquid . and take some fake buffs . if still you have leak . then the leak is under the build table . disassemble the base to find the cause .

DDP one will not leak under any conditions, regardless the wick (rayon/cotton/mesh). Period
